I am writing with a genuine wish to apply for the Visiting Pianist position at your school, which

was recommended to me to do by Prof. Aaron Shorr, Head of Keyboard Department at Royal Conservatoire

of Scotland.

I am pianist Guoda Indriunaite, holder of both Bachelor and Master Degrees in Piano Performance at the
Royal Conservatoire of Scotland. In 2019 I had an Honor to meet Prince Charles and perform to him at the
Conservatoire's held event.

During the time of 6 years studying at the Royal Conservatoire, I performed and worked a lot, which led me
to get an incomparable experience in musical practices. I was chosen to be a Director of Paisley Opera
Workshops, a summer project educating young children by introducing them to academic professional
music in order to create a mini opera together. My main responsibilities included: creating, coordinating
and delivering the program of the project, managing the team while taking care of quality delivery of
lessons at the summer courses. Serving as a piano accompanist in times of need and singing lessons, also
improvised moments and choir rehearsals.

As a musician I have collaborated with mixed groups of choirs and arranged, accompanied piano music for
them: among the biggest groups were Strathclyde University Student Union Choir and Glasgow Caledonian
University Adult Choir.  I enjoyed that experience very much and my duties involved: a lot of sight reading;
performing piano accompaniment for practice, rehearsals, and performances of the University choir;
providing lead section rehearsals by playing parts; identifying student mistakes and problem areas,
correcting them by providing the right notes and rhythms. I also did church services every week
including: Destiny Church Glasgow, CHRIST CHURCH GLASGOW, West Glasgow New Church, Dennistoun
Baptist Church, and others.

As a teacher I have 9 years of experience with varied groups of people of different age and abilities. My
duties included: planning and preparing lessons in relation to individual students' needs, while providing
with appropriate materials and learning resources. In lessons incorporating music theory through practice,
from early on helping students to sharpen their sight-reading, memorizing, hand coordination and improve
other techniques. Some lessons would be recorded so students can monitor their progress, - this
fundamentally helps in the processes of preparing students for exams, recitals, concerts, and other events.
Delivering motivational yet constructive approach to students, while providing objective feedbacks and
adjusting lessons as required.

At the moment I am currently working remotely as a Teaching Fellow at Queens College, New York. I am
also working at a New York based non profit organisation Musical Mentors Collaborative’ which helps
people in need to learn music, where my responsibilities involve: working closely with creative director,
members of the development & marketing teams to design, coordinate and deliver projects successfully.
Defining goals and purposes of events, plan and host them. Being responsible for managing relationships
with patrons and donating partners to ensure an ongoing support. Monitoring the budget, keeping records
of all expenses for equipment and lessons provided. Delivering weekly reports of tasks already achieved
and work that is still in progress.

I would be looking for some improvement in terms of workplaces that would give me a chance to fulfil
myself more as a performer and supportive role holder, thereby your offered position sounds like a perfect
fit for me.

Best regards, Guoda Indriunaite
