STUDENT’S NAME: Ison, Sharmaine Juliet NSTP SECTION: C-CTHM-4 NSTP FACILITATOR: Ms. Maria Martina V. Mancenido

I aim to start a tree planting activity and nurture their growth. I

want to compensate for the number of trees that were destroyed
and cut down due to wood production, paper production, and
other activities that is in line with cutting down the trees just to
produce and gain resources from Sierra Madre.

When the five (5) months old tree we planted started expanding in size,
we knew we had reached a crucial point in terms of the trees' growth
and development; in the next two weeks, there would be an increase
in size, likewise to the following weeks. This may be a slow process
and development, however, it is a step towards helping find a solution
to bring a better future to Sierra Madre.

In order to grow and develop, trees need sunlight, water, and

nutrients (also known as fertilizer). However, to speed up the
process substantially, we can create environmental initiatives in
order to seek support and assistance from other people as well
as gather adequate funds in order to supply its necessities.

If the initiative to plant trees is going to be successful, the

surrounding forest and the mountain itself will be protected as
time goes on. Furthermore, it would have a significant effect on
our day-to-day lives considering that trees not only provide us
oxygen but also store carbon, keep the soil stable, and offers
food and shelter for people and animals.

By the 21st of December, we expect to see the progress and

development of the trees that we planted. Wherein it means that
it is a natural consequence of development after 30 days.

We want to plant trees to compensate the loss of trees on Sierra Madre

and would measure its growth after weeks. By the help of water, sunlight,
and fertilizer it would increase in size on 21st of December just like what
when we expect to see a development; hence, it would have a significant
effect on our daily lives as it provides a lot of benefits.
