ALBERT EINSTEIN
Albert Einstein was a German physicist of jewish origin, later he was nationalized after Swiss,
austrian and american. He was born on March,14 of 1879.He was considered the most
important and popular scientist. He was an inspiring, intelligent and shy child. His fathers thought
that Albert had a some mental defficient because he took longer than normal to speak but he
was a shameful boy.
He was a excellent boy in maths and physics but he was not interested in other
subjects.Einstein enjoyed walking to clear his mind.He was a solitary child who only liked to
study and read with concentration and patience. In 1921 he received the Nobel Prize in Physics
for his explanations of the photoelectric effect and was also important for the discovery of
Brownian motion. He lived through two world wars,e devoted himself to science trying to find a
unitary theory of gravitation and electromagnetism.
His main discoveries were:
- Brownian motion: This discovery, made in 1905, explains how the thermal motion of individual
atoms can form a fluid.
-The photoelectric effect: Also discovered in 1905, it explains the appearance of electric currents
in certain materials when they are illuminated by electromagnetic radiation.
-Special relativity: This is another contribution exposed in 1905. It shows that the speed of light is
constant, while the position and time depend on the speed of the body
-Mass-energy equivalence: Arguably, 1905 was one of his best years. the discovery of this
equation ('E = m x c2') also occurred in that year.
-General Relativity: Published between 1915 and 1916, describes acceleration and gravity as
different aspects of the same reality. This theory, one of the best known and applauded
