QUALIFICATIONS FOR CHIEF NURSE

 Hold a current, active RN license


 Hold a bachelor's or higher degree in nursing
 Have held a mid-level administrative or higher position (e.g., nurse manager, supervisor,
director, assistant director) OR a faculty position teaching graduate students nursing
administration OR nursing management or executive consultation position full-time for at least
24 months (or the equivalent) in the last 5 years.
 Have completed 30 hours of continuing education in nursing administration within the last 3
years. This requirement is waived if you have a master's degree in nursing administration.

QUALIFICATION FOR STAFF NURSE


 A nursing degree.
 Post qualification nursing experience.
 Valid nursing board registration.
 Able to work in a multicultural team.
 Maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
 Continue professional development activities.
 Maintain meticulous records.

QUALIFICATION FOR NURSING ASSISTANT


 Complete an accredited training program 
 Excellent attention to detail
 Great written and verbal communication
 Ability to carefully read and follow directions
 Flexibility in work duties and schedule
 Good teamwork skills
 Ability to lift and move patients
 Good foundation of clinical skills and knowledge
HOSPITAL RULES AND REGULATIONS
 Routine visiting times end at 9 p.m. so that patients may get adequate rest.
 Specialty areas within the hospital may have more detailed visitation guidelines based upon
those patient's condition and needs.
 Clergy may visit at any time at the request of the patient.
 We encourage only two visitors at a time.
 Please remember to check with the nurse before sending plants or flowers. Some areas
have restrictions concerning these.
 Visitors are encouraged to ask questions. However, because of confidentiality and privacy
considerations, patients must first give permission before any personal health information is
released.
 Visitors must follow all hospital rules.
 Please avoid visiting hospital patients if you are ill.

MEDICAL STAFF RULES AND REGULATIONS


CRITERIA FOR ADMISSION
 Each attending member of the Medical Staff (“Member”) must abide by the criteria for
admitting patients to the Facility and to each program as approved by the Medical Staff and
the Board. These criteria are identified in the Facility’s Utilization Review Plan and in each
program narrative. Waiver of any of these criteria must be approved by the Medical Director.

 Patients may be admitted to the Facility only by Members with Clinical Privileges to do so. All
admissions to the Facility must meet the Facility's admission criteria as defined for each
program.
CARE AND TREATMENT OF PATIENTS
 The attending physician/practitioner has the ultimate responsibility for providing each patient's
diagnosis and for supervising the care of the patient in the Facility.
 Each attending Member agrees to adhere to the design of the Facility's treatment programs
and agrees to practice in accordance with the program model. Each Member will adhere to all
Facility Policies and Procedures, protocols, and guidelines.
ADMINISTRATIVE DISCHARGE
 Administrative discharges may occur when, in the best interest of the patient/resident, it is
determined that treatment is no longer appropriate. A recommendation or request for
administrative discharge may originate from any Member associated with the care and
treatment of the patient, other Members, or family members. Upon receipt of a
recommendation or request for administrative discharge, the CEO/or designee shall notify
Members involved in the care of the individual.
MEDICAL RECORDS
 Confidentiality and Release of Information, written and/or verbal, may be released only in
accordance with Guidelines, applicable State law, and the Facility’s Policies and Procedures.

STAFF'S DRESS CODE


Different departments has different type of color but same dress codes, it should be:
 Neat and clean dress demonstrates pride in the job and is a courtesy to those around you.
 Clothing worn by staff members must be neat, clean, wrinkle free, and in good condition, free
from offending odors, and fit properly.
 Employees must wear appropriate undergarments to avoid an unprofessional.

TIME POLICY
 Employees must time in 30mins before their duty.
 If the employee is absent must tell the supervisor/head of the department
 Any emergency leave must provide a formal letter.
