1) open chirp,

2) plug in radio

3) turn the radio on

4) From the top menu, select "Radio"

4.a) From the Drop down, select "Download from Radio"

4.b) In the dialog that appears,

4.b.1) select the correct port (you can figure out which comm port it is by looking in the device manager)

4.b.2) Select the correct vendor from the drop down (I am guessing "Baofeng")

4.b.3) Select the radio model from the drop down ("UV-5R" ?? )

4.b.4) Press "OK"

You should get a status that tells you the radio is being down loaded

Please make sure (if you can) that your radios have the following frequencies programmed in

151.655 mHz

151.625 mHz

151.955 mHz

151.755 mHz

151.655 being the preference, if you can do no other do that one.
