Reflection essay

On 15th November

This class is to begin from 2pm (+8UTC) but it started from 3pm this day. The

topic of this class was about instructional design models, so Dr made students explain

these things using slides within 30 minutes. Every student worked for it with their own

original group members. Once lecture started, each group takes turns to present what

they had researched for, such as ASSURE model, ARCS model etc. They volunteered to

show their results and after that, Dr showed us that there are more than 20 instructional

models.

I’d known that there is a UKMfolio for this class which tells students

information about the classes. However, I didn’t know how to use and where the reading

materials are. I finally found these things only after this class. I felt finally secure

because I didn’t know what’s been going on until then. I also got a group member to

work with asking Dr for help during the class. I can be ready for my very first studying

abroad as a virtual mobility student from that time on. To be frank, every group’s

presentation was well constructed and I could not believe that they prepared that for

about half an hour. At that time, I didn’t even know that there were some examples of

instructional design on UKMfolio. I always do my best to keep up with the rest of the
students, and I felt like I finally caught up with them.
