THE PROMLEM AND ITS SETTING

This chapter presents the Background of the Study, Statement of the

Problem, Hypothesis, Conceptual framework, Scope and Delimitation of the
Study, Significance of the Study, definition and terms that are related to the
study.

Introduction

BACKGROUND OF THE STORY

This COVID-19 has affected the sources of supply and effects of the global
economy. There are restriction of one travelling from one country to another
country. During traveling, of cases are identified positive when tested especially
when they are taking international visits. All government’s health organization
and other authorities are continuously focusing on identify the case affected by
the COVID-19, healthcare professional face lot of difficulties in maintaining the
quality of healthcare in the days.

The current global pandemic is caused by the “Novel Coronavirus Disease (2019-
NcoV) or Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Corona Virus-2(SARS-CoV-2)
popularly know as COVID DISEASE ”. Originated in the city of WUHAN in HUBEI
province of china, during December in 2019. The virus quickly spread throughout
the world. Many countries reacted too late to implement preventive measures
leading to a sudden upsurge in the number of cases worldwide. Genomic
analysis of the virus SARS-CoV-2 was found to he Phylogenetically similar to
other Bat originated coronavirus like SARS-COV-1 and MERS-CoV, Thereby
confirming that Bats are the primary reservoir of the virus, However, the
intermediate source of origin and it’s transfer to human’s in not yet known. As of
July 5, 2020, There is no clinically approved antiviral drug treatment or vaccine
available to be used against COVID – 19, However, in the month of july 2020
certain organizations worldwide are claiming to be working on a vaccine to treat
the novel corona virus. Drugs like REMDESIVIR (GS – 5734) and
DEXAMETHASONE are being evaluated in late-stage clinical trials but have not
been proved anywhere. The transmission of COVID – 19 is confirmed to be
through human to human interactions. The maximum amount of viral load
shedding is done by symptomatic carriers, however, There are confirmed cases
of asymptomatic carriers also transmitting the disease.

COVID -19 (Corona Virus) has affected day to day life and is slowing down the
global economy. This pandemic has affected thousands of peoples. Who are
either sick or are being killed due to the spread of this disease. The most
common symptoms of this viral infection are fever, cold, pneumonia, bone pain
and breathing problems, and ultimately leading to pneumonia. This being a new
viral disease affecting humans for the first time, vaccines are not yet available.
Thus, the emphasis is on taking extensive precautions such as extensive
hygiene protocol

(example: regularly washing of hands, avoidance of face to face interaction, etc.)

exponentially region wiss. Countries are banning gatherings of people to spread
and break the exponential ceremony countries are locking their population and
enforcing strict quarantine to control the spread of the havoc of this highly
communicable disease.

COVID-19 has rapidly affected our day to day like businesses, disrupted the
world trade and movements. Identification of the disease at an early stage is
vital to control the spread of the virus because it rapidly spreads from person to
person. Most of the countries have slow down their manufacturing of the
products. The various industries and sectors are affected by the cause of this
disease; these include the pharmaceuticals industry, solar power sector, tourism,
information and electronic industry. This virus creates significant knock-on effect
on the daily life citizens, as well as the global economy.
STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM

The main objective of this study is to determine the community awareness

during pandemic at La Solidaridad, San Isidro Montalban Rizal.

HYPOTHESIS

There is a significance relationship of community awareness during

pandemic at La Solidaridad San Isidro Montalban Rizal
SCOPE AND DELIMTATION

It was a n face to face survey, since it was put out on face to face survey.
There aren’t undoubtedly people in La Solidaridad San Isidro Montalban Rizal
who could not see or even aware of it. Intentionally, we don’t do any perception
of those people whose living there. Moreover, the responses will depend in
honesty and were affected by the ability to recall; therefore, they may be
susceptible to bias recall. However, this study took into account a large sample to
determine the level of awareness of La Solidaridad citizens regarding COVID-19.
