Window Air conditioners or PTAC

• Limited to small
spaces
• Noisy
• No treated fresh air
• No part load

Split System

• Used for Villa’s, small commercial buildings etc

• Lesser Initial cost(around QR 3000-3500/TR )
• Electrical load approx. 1.5 kw/TR
• No part load operation
Limitations:
• Lesser operational efficiency
• Limitation in refrigerant length
• Limitation in ventilation

Package Units

• Used for large single zones like warehouses, Wedding

halls etc
• No noise associated with indoor unit
• Lesser Initial cost(around QR 4500-5000/TR )
• Electrical load approx. 2 kW/TR
• No part load operation
Limitations:
• Lesser operational efficiency
• Larger ducts
• Not suitable for multi zones
