A. Content Standards The learners demonstrate an understanding of the integration of
social science perspective and community action initiatives.
B. Performance Standards The learners shall be able to synthesize the integrative experience
of implementing community-action initiatives applying social
sciences’ ideas and methods.
C. Learning Competencies/ The learners must be able to explain the processes, methodologies,
Objectives and approaches in applied social sciences related to community
action.

Learning Objectives Cognitive: Compare and contrast the definitions between local
groups and external or support groups.
Psychomotor: Give examples of local groups and external or
support groups.

Affective: Realize the importance of partnership building with local


groups and support/external groups as partners in
community and barangay governance and engagement.

A. Reviewing previous lesson or What are the three types of partnerships in the context of
presenting the new lesson community engagement?
B. Establishing a purpose for the Picture Analysis
lesson The teacher will distribute pictures about local groups and external
or support groups.

Motive Questions:

2. Based on the pictures, can you guess our topic for today?

D. Discussing new concepts and Activity 1: Video Presentation: (Caring for the environment)
practicing new skills #1 Group Activity
The learners will be divided into two groups. Each group
will analyze the concepts presented in the video. Then, the
group will be given set of questions to be answered. Every
group will justify the questions assigned to them and share
their thoughts to the class through reporting with a
maximum time of three minutes. Preparation time is five
minutes.

Rubrics for Reporting:


Criteria: Content - 10 points
Relevance - 10 points
Teamwork and Cooperation - 10 points
Total = 30 points
Process questions:
1. What do you see in the video?
2. How do you feel after seeing the video?
3. What do you think will be your contribution in order to address
those problems?
4. Can you identify agencies/groups that initiate to solve those
problems?

E. Finding practical Applications of The students will reflect:


concepts and skills in daily living “Given my capacity, which group am I going to render my service?”

F. Making generalizations and From the given activity, can you now identify the difference
abstractions about the lesson between local groups and external or support groups?
