SECTION 2: PROJECT BRIEF

Ranhill Water Services Sdn Bhd (RWS) was awarded a contract by Pengurusan Aset Air Berhad
(PAAB) for Program Penggantian Paip Lama/Uzur Dengan Paip Baru Di Negeri Kelantan 2018,
Kota Bahru Zon D commencement on 10th March 2019.

RWS has set up a Project Management Team headed by the Project Manager with the overall
responsibility for the management, execution, monitoring and quality control of the project.

There would be six (6) management and supervisory personnel directly involved in the works with
additional support by other professionals at the professionals at the Head Office.

SECTION 3 : PROJECT COMPONENT

3.1 Scope of Work

i. Supply and Lay PVC-O and Mild Steel pipelines and specials at size 160mm to 630mm
nominal diameter to replace existing file.
ii. Supply and Install valves, construction of valves chambers, washout pipe works, typical and
specific overground pipe crossing, concrete support, anchor and thrust block etc. in
connection of the pipelines.
iii. Supply and Install new tapping saddle on PVC-O and Polyethylene Aluminium Composite
(PA) communication pipe to replace existing tapping to all affected consumer connections.
iv. Any related ancillary works not detailed in this section but necessary for the completion of the
works as may be ordered by the S.O. or this representative in accordance with the terms of
the contract.

3.2 Scope of Variation Order Work

i. Mill and Pave Road Reinstatement

ii. Supply, delivery and lay PVC-O and Mild Steel Pipe
iii. Laying pipe for HDPE 225mm through HDD method

SECTION 4: CERTIFICATE OF COMPLETION

5.1 General

The overall works were completed on 31 May 2021. The defect inspection has been conducted
and attended by PENGURUSAN ASET AIR BERHAD, AIR KELANTAN SDN BHD and RANHILL
WATER SERVICES SDN BHD.

5.2 Letter of CPC

A CPC for overall works was issued by PENGURUSAN ASET AIR BERHAD to the RANHILL
WATER SERVICES SDN BHD on 06 August 2021.

The copy of letter CPC is attached in Attachment 2.

5.3 Defect Liability Period

Defect liability period for overall works commenced on 14 May 2021 and ended on 13 May 2022.

SECTION 5: DEFECT LIABILITY PERIOD

Defect inspection has been carried out prior to the issuance of a certificate of Making Good
Defects (CMGD). Total of 89 defects have been identified and rectified on site. Letter on
rectification of defects has been issued to AKSB on 14 th July 2022.

The copy of letter is attached in Attachment 3.

SECTION 6: CERTIFICATE OF MAKING GOOD DEFECT (CMGD)

The Certificate of Making Good Defects (CMGD) for Works has yet to be issued to the RANHILL
WATER SERVICES SDN BHD.

SECTION 7: CONCLUSION AND RECOMMENDATION

As the defects has been rectified accordingly, we hereby request for the issuance of the
Certificate of Making Good Defect (CMGD) effective on 15 July 2022.
