Design/Challenge Question (revised from the framing exercise):

How can we give teen parents in Arizona the resources they need to graduate from high
school?

Advocacy Focus Statement (revised from the framing exercise):

Teen parents in AZ need resources to help them graduate from high school to set themselves
up for a successful future.

Actionable Goals: (You can have 1-3 Goals. Goals should be written as SMART Goals:
Specific Measurable, Achievable, Results-Focused, Time Bound). For example: By the
end of TEL 410, I will contact 3 state legislatures to discuss school safety.

1. By the end of TEL 410, I will contact 3 school districts to discuss bringing TAPP
Reinvented into school districts.

2. By the end of TEL 410, I will have set up at least 1 fundraiser to raise funds for my
project (after talking to school districts).

Actions: List specific actions you will take to achieve your goals here. You should have
several action items for each goal. Think through, and list, each step you will need to
take to achieve your goal.

GOAL 1:
1. Revise my video presentation and create a slideshow.
2. Find the emails to each district coordinator or superintendent.
3. Email them.
4. Set up meetings.

GOAL 2:
1. Find the best fundraising opportunities such as restaurants and more.
2. Contact them.
3. Set a date and host the TAPP night at the restaurant.

Timeline (list dates, deadlines):

1. November 2: Contact School Districts

2. November 11: Meet with at least 2 of the districts

3. November 22: Host a fundraising night

Budget/Resource (membership fees, electronic resources, etc.):

*these may be tangible or intangible resources

Each of the items to discuss the needs of teen parents is already paid for and have access to.
This includes the filming equipment and video editing software.
To make a fundraiser, it will be free.
However, to make the TAPP class happen, I will need funding from the schools.
Some supplies for the classroom would be:
Baby Simulator $150
Desks
Chairs
Day Care space
Children's toys (can be donated as slightly used or new)

Build your Team (create your own team, or align yourself to an organization already
involved in your advocacy focus work):
**This section may list team members or contact information for the organization
you are working with.
