Subject : OPENING OF THE PERFORMANCE EVALUATION


INSTRUMENT FOR TEACHING EFFECTIVENESS BY THE
STUDENTS IN THE STUDENT PORTAL

Date : 03 NOVEMBER 2022

To create and sustain a culture of excellence that supports teaching excellence in all
academic units, there is a need to review and measure the performance of faculty members
and its effectiveness in the delivery of classroom instructions. This promotes a better
learning experience for students and eventually foster professional growth for educators.

The Performance Evaluation Instrument for Teaching Effectiveness by the Students is an


evaluation tool that measures the teaching effectiveness of the faculty members in terms
of commitment, knowledge of the subject, teaching for independent learning and
management of learning. This evaluation is done once a semester and constitutes a 40%
of the total performance of faculty members in terms of teaching effectiveness.

Relative thereto, please be informed that the Performance Evaluation Instrument for the
First Semester AY 2022-2023 will be opened in the student portal from November 4, 2022
until December 18, 2022. Faculty members are hereby directed to inform their students to
evaluate their performance as this activity is critical in ensuring that every faculty
members are geared towards creating and sustaining a culture of excellence in all
academic units of the university.
