NO 1 Placement of the bag and 1 preparation for the procedure 2 Make the client in a 1 comfortable environment wash the hands 3 Check for any damage of 1 instrument and mercury column nobe in open mode 4 Ask the person to sit on a 1 chair or lay down on the bed and place the apparatus in a proper position 5 Tie the cuff one inch above 1 the elbow placing both the tubes in front and raises the pressure of the cuff to 30 mm hg above the level at which pulse is no longer felt 6 Release the pressure slowly 1 and listen with stethoscope keeping it on brachial artery at the elbow 7 Note the reading where the 1 sound heard (systolic pressure)and where the sound is not heard(diastolic pressure) 8 Defaults and remove the cuff 1 and close the mercury column knob and inform the patient about the reading if the BP id high advising her to consult a doctor 9 Wash hand and replace of 1 articles in a proper way 10 Record the reading 1 Max total score 10
