Considering that religion has an important role in protecting and raising orphans, I proposed a social center for children

near a monastery built in 2007. Located in the village Manesti in central western part of Dambovita county, 20 km from the town of Targoviste, the southwestern flank of the Carpathian low hills, the site has an attractive natural and territorial context , being dominated by a forested area. Going on the premise of collaboration between the Social Assistance and Child Protection in Dambovita County and Parish "Heroes Cathedral" belonging to the monastery, children from this social center will benefit on the one hand of attention care from the clerical staff and the social workers, and on the other hand of an a very good environment for development and their integration in society. Site accessibility is achieved through a forest road that starts from the national road DN72, which connects towns Targoviste and Campulung. The site is in transition to high plains area of the city Targoviste , it has a wonderful view over the hills and it is sourrounded by high trees. The concept is based on the idea of creating a space that reflects the structure of a forest by random positioning of volumes (which are trees) and by creating interstitial spaces among the trees like a trail. Extruding from the site, the main directions that led to the formation of the volumetry were: intention to orient the volume towards the church forest, communication with the project. Volumes on the site layout is done by carrying them around an interior courtyard opened to the church and their orientation to the natural. It has created two worlds: one related to the church (spiritual connection, contemplation) and one in relationship with the environment. Interstitial space volume brings together the entire composition around the yard, the interior space offers privacy but also keeps in touch with the outside through openings between the volumes. and close it near the church being the main objective of the

The main access is done separately from the small square in front of the church. A path that starts from this point makes a gradual transition from the public area (access, reception, medical, psychological practice), the area for personnel (locker rooms, storage, kitchen) where space is vague and unpredictable, and then the area exclusively for children (the dining room , living room, workshops, halls for different activities, access to the sleeping area) where you can see the entire space connected with the church. Irregular spaces between the boxes placed randomly create some pockets where children can hide being permanently connected to the common play area. Also this pockets environment, to the outside world. Another feature of this space is why each box has its adjacent area for carrying out various activities, all connected to the common play area. The sleeping area is upstairs and is divided in to two areas that allow separation of children by sex or age. They are separated by different access both the offices and social workers, supervisors. The entire floor has visibility over the common play area, being perceived as a bridge. The entire assembly is designed to work around the church, both building cells and social center are related by a small square through alleys. provides outputs related to the
