Hello Key Clubbers,
My name is XinLei Wang, but people call me Tony
(probably because it is easier to pronounce). I will be your 2008-2009 Division 14 Lieutenant Governor. I am currently a sophomore at Burlington High School, and I am very active within my school. I participate in student government, forensics, and sports, such as wrestling and track. However, Key Club will always be my top priority throughout the year.
For this year, there are two areas that I would be
focusing on and they are communication and division projects. Communication is very important in any Content type of organization, especially within Key Club. Good communication means our clubs stay informed and Introduction 1 updated on the current events and activities. It also plays an important role in planning projects. I would like to see more Important Dates 2 collaboration between the clubs in our division and possibly with the clubs in the other divisions. Governor’s Project 3 I look forward to meeting and to working with my fellow The File Box 4 Key Clubbers. If there ever are Key Club events planned, please invite me to them. Also, if you have any questions, please feel free to call or email me. IMPORTANT DATES for september/october Sept 22 - 28 Sept 29 - Oct 5 Oct 6 - 12 Oct 13 - 19

This year’s governor’s project is dedicated to increasing
disability awareness in WI-UM’s local communities. The project is designed for your club’s creativity and passion to shine through! The project itself, although decided upon by each club, must promote the well-being of those with disabilities.
Project Ideas may include, but are not limited to:
• Group efforts at Camp Wawbeek or Bay Cliff Health Camp • Work with Special Olympics • Projects involving an Aktion Club or other people with disabilities • Disability Awareness presentations to Kiwanis, grade schools, etc… • Collaboration with your local Goodwill or disability-friendly business
To be eligible for the Governor’s Project competition, your
club’s project must be presented in the form of a video. These entries will not qualify for the other competitions at DCON. The winning club will receive front row seating at the formal dinner on Saturday night!
Entries are due to Emily by March 2, 2009
