INSTRUCTION: Answer ALL the question. Then present the calculation method to find out
the maximum tensile bending stress diagram.

A simply supported beam with inverted T cross-section is subjected to a uniformly
distributed load and point load as shown in figure below. Given the reaction at support A and
B are 37.14 kN and 30.86 kN respectively

The beam in figure 1(a) will be replaced by a 7 m cantilever beam carrying a uniform
distributed load of 5 kN/m over its entire span. By using the same cross section in Figure
1(b). Sketch the distribution of compressive bending stress of this beam.
