Programa
• Theme 1&2: We will start studying what it means that
the management of a resource should be sustainable.
• Theme 3: We will review the reasons why the market
does not allow natural resources to be exploited in a
sustainable way. Why the management of natural
resources is usually not sustainable? Externalities &
Public Goods.
• Theme 5: We will ask what should we do to manage
these resources in a environmentally respectful way
• Theme 4&6&7: We will ask how the value of these
resources should be measured.

• 21th of October from 10:15 to 12:00
• 27th of October from 12:00 to 14:00
• 3rd of November from 12:00 to 14:00

• 24th of November from 12:00 to 14:00

Evaluation
• The last 3 days of this course you will teach the course.
Each one of you will present a scientific paper that I will
assign.
• The presentations will take place the following days
– 11th of November from 10:00 to 12:00
– 15th of November from 10:00 to 12:00
– 24th of November from 12:00 to 14:00
• The day of your presentation you will have to handle me
a summary of the paper that you present commenting it
critically and pointing out its strengths and weakness.
• Your grade will be decided on you summary and
presentation.

Evaluation
• Presentation in class of a scientific paper, using Power
Point or similar.
• Also you will have to handle to me a summary of the
paper that you present commenting it critically, and
pointing out its strengths and weakness.
• The presentations will take place the following days (the
last 3 days of this course):

– 15th of November from 10:00 to 12:00
– 24th of November from 12:00 to 14:00
