5-10 min. Intro - (Review: Number talks) Look at the following algebra tiles give me a thumbs Tiles,

Main - (Review) Look at the following expression: x2 + 3, Determine the coefficient, board,

- (Activity - Face off): Students in groups of 6 (class of 30) will pair with other
group and “face off” to solve polynomial expressions/models. The first team
to solve correctly receives a point. Prize for each winning team.
- (Activity): Individually solve the equation: y= 3x2- 15 + 7x2 + 6x + 2y + 17. Find
Practice/ y if x=3. First 3 to solve for y properly, get 1 bonus point (can use calculator)
10-30 min.
Activity - (Practice): Pgs.213-215. #1,4,8-10,12 and 13. Solutions posted after class.
