B. DISCUSSION
YES!
I think because my brain is functioning.
1. Have a short discussion about
sensory images.
Sensory imagery is any description
that involves one or more of the five senses --
touch, sight, taste, smell and sound.

TYPES OF SENSORY IMAGES:

1. Sight (Visual) - appeals to the sense of
seeing through depiction of color, light, size,
pattern, etc.

Using your eyes, you can see that person is

old, healthy, and tall. The day is sunny and
Sun is round.
2. Sound (Auditory) - appeals to the
sense of hearing by including melodic sounds,
silence, harsh noises, and even onomatopoeia.

For example are, shout, thud, whistle and

clatter. These are the words that use to
describe what it sound like.
3. Smell (Olfactory) – appeals to the
sense of smelling by describing something’s
fragrance or color.

These are the words that tell how it smells like,

for example, musty, fresh, and piney.

4. Touch (Tactile) – appeals to the sense of

feeling by describing how something physically
feels, such as its temperature, texture, or others
sensation.

5. Taste (Gustatory) - appeals to the sense

of taste through describing whether something is
sweet, salty, savory, spicy, and sour.

Using your Hands or your body, you can tell

the knife is sharp. The thing is tickly, smooth
and fuzzy.

For example, the Pizza is burnt, the Berries are

sweet, and the junk food is salty. You can tell
what the things taste like using your tongue.

type of sensory images.

3. To prepare for the next activity, ask the

students to share a memorable event in their
lives, good or bad, using the different type of
sensory imagery.

It often had a sort of peaceful smell- as though nothing bad
could happen ever again in the world. It smelled of grain and
of harness dressing and of axle grease and of rubber boots
and of new rope. And whenever the cat was given a fish head ”I’m at the school that time, at our laboratory,
to eat, the barn would smell of fish. But mostly it smelled of the I saw a Bottle, I open it immediately
