The Mayans are famous for their

calendar system, which they used
to predict solar eclipses and exploit
TZOLKIN it to their advantage when planting
and harvesting crops. The calendar
MAYA & HAAB is a round and was based on
overlapping annual cycles (260 day
CALENDAR sacred year and a 365 day secular

year). The Mayan calendar is similar
to the ones we use today.

Aztec farming has become most

famous because of the brilliant
chinampas system that Aztec
farmers used. Certainly there were
a number of techniques used in the
AZTEC CHINAMPAS Aztec empire. But with the great
city of Tenochtitlan built on swampy
but rich ground, the chinampas
became key to the food production
of the people.

The Incas were exceptional

engineers who created the most
BRIDGES complex network of roads and
bridges of any early civilizations,
INCA & known as Qhapaq Ñan. Being able to
reach and govern every little corner
ROADS of its territory contributed to the
empire's success.
