The aircraft that I had chosen is a 6 seater with 5 passengers and 1 pilot
capacity. This aircraft is a monoplane with a High Wing vertical location as it is
best position for the wing. Strut-braced rectangular wing with a flat wing
dihedral. The roofed cabin configuration has an enough space for the legroom so
that you will be comfortable throughout the flight. The engine is mounted on the
fuselage nose with a tractor propeller configuration.
The landing gear for these aircraft is retractable tricycle landing gear
retracted into the fuselage as it offers better visibility from the flight deck, allows
for a more forceful application of the brakes and prevents ground-looping of the
aircraft, keeping the airplane moving forward in a straight line.
Design is exciting, challenging, satisfying, and rewarding. Design is much
more subjective, there is rarely a single “correct” answer. The world of design
involves many challenges, uncertainties, ambiguities, and inconsistencies. I
believed throughout this semester is intended for us students to familiarize with
the basic fundamentals and overall process of design.
