As per my reflection of the original source, I believe the document provided its
readers with a picture of what life was like in the Philippines at that time. The
journey's events were written in significant detail, as well as the customs,
traditions, etc. of the Philippines. The author defended the Spanish attack on the
Latroni people, whom they considered to be savages. The Spaniards also
assaulted several Filipino women, according to my review of the related, but the
author of the documentary never addressed them.
