Geotourism. What are some clauses and effects they may have. You should include example, reasons, facts to illustrate your ideas.
Tourism has witnessed rapid development over several decades, becoming a
major industry worldwide. In particular, one of the most popular types of tourism is mass-tourism and geotourism. Nowadays, these types of tourism is what makes widespread contributions to all countries, although there are a few negatives as well. This essay compares the advantages and disadvantages of mass-tourism and geotourism before concluding with a final opinion. In one side, the development of mass tourism leads to the construction of new infrastructure must be put in place for tourists - airports, hotels, power supplies, roads and telecommunications. These benefit the population. Indeed, it brings jobs, allowing people who previously survived on subsistence agriculture or day labouring to gain regular work with a reliable wage. By contrast, one major disadvantage to ecotourism is that it often converts the local economy to a tourist economy, stifling the area's natural economic prospects in favor of servicing wealthy foreigners. In other side, If in the advantages we noticed fact of cultural exchange, but now we have to write about bad side of this – is Cultural pollution. Mass tourism has a huge influence to the people from poor countries. When tourism develops rapidly, buildings and monuments are at risk of damage because travel companies always want to attract as many visitors as possible, leading to overload. The risk of buildings and relics of cultural and tourism value being destroyed when tourism is increasingly developing is very high. In contrast, geotourism brings great benefit to culture and tourism’s destination. It teaches visitors about tourist responsibility, and also protects the heritage of an area – meaning locals can have pride in where they are from. There is also a real sense of community spirit with geotourism projects. To conclude, it can be said that while tourism does have specific disadvantages, it has a positive impact on social culture, national economies, and overall employment. It also fosters cultural exchange, information gathering, and educational growth. Hence, while Governments may fix the negatives with proactive measures, the positives far outweigh them, in my opinion
