 Gas lighting is production of artificial light
from combustion of a gaseous fuel, such
as hydrogen, methane, carbon monoxide,
propane, butane, or natural gas. Before
electricity became sufficiently widespread,
gas was the most popular means of
outdoor and indoor lighting in cities.

 Gas lighting today is typically used for

camping, where the high energy density of
a hydrocarbon fuel, combined with the
modular nature of canisters (a strong metal
container) allows bright and long lasting
light to be produced cheaply and without
complex equipment.
OBJECTIVE

 To learn how to build a gas lamp post

 To learn how to calculate pressure gas inlet
to the burner
 Install gas piping and burner

 Learn how to use Liquefied Petroleum Gas

 Multifunction use of Natural Gas

 Pipeline Gas  Electricity
- Use direct gas - Use direct
from but tank or current
anywhere near - Use switch, plug,
by at pipeline
photo cell,
gas.
solenoid valve,
- Use regulator,
igniter,
ball valve, steel
pipe thread
1. Photo cell 2. Solenoid valve 3. Spark igniter

4. Burner 5. Pipe steel 6. Post

 The best part is that they shine even when the power is
elsewhere, and entails less maintenance.
 Protection, dependability:
 Less maintenance:
 Making the most of natural lighting is a great way to generate a
sense of organic harmony in a space at the same time it lifts the
mood and output levels.
 Gas light flame:
 It may require the use RPM Bracket & P99 in-ground post.
 Dig post hole approximately 8” round by 24” deep.
 If not already furnished, place 1/4” copper tubing in post with at least 3
coils at top of post. This is commonly called a “pigtail”.
 The end of the tubing should come out of the existing slot in post approx.
18” up from bottom of post.
 Attach the lamp head to post bracket with supplied bolts, then to the
copper tubing.
 Slowly lower lamp onto post.
 Take care not to bend or crimp tubing.
 Check to be sure slot on top of post line up with valve access hole on
collar of gas light.
 Connect gas supply line to copper pigtail of gas light.
 Turn on gas to light.

SAFETY
ALWAYS leak test all fittings before proceeding using
a soapy water solution. NEVER use a match!
The conclusion of project gas lamp
post is to we can learn about to make a
complete gas lamp post. Next, this
project to, can close relationship between
all lecturer and students. Then, we hopes
we can get some advices from advisor,
lecturer and all friend to realization and
upgrade this gas lamp post project.
