QUESTION 1. Is the tittle of the story justified?
ANSWER: According to me this tittle is suitable
The Happy Prince by Oscar Wilde is the story of a statue, the
Happy Prince, covered with gold and many fine jewels. It sits
overlooking the city. There is zero sorrow Ness in his life when
he was living
During his life on earth, the prince was called the Happy Prince
because he was always happy.

Accordingly, the prince never knew unhappiness when he was


alive, as he lived in splendor and ease. He lived in a palace
where sorrow was never allowed to enter; a high wall separated
his palace grounds from the outside world. Because his
existence was so sheltered, the prince never knew of the
misfortunes and miseries his

The prince remembers living a life that consisted of largely


unvarying daily pleasures; during the day, he cavorted with his
companions in the garden, and in the evenings, he led dances in
the Great Hall of the palace. It was only when he died that he
became sad, and this was because they placed his statue so high
up on the city grounds that he could see the surrounding
miseries and degradation in the city.

QOESTION 2.Character sketch of swallow and happy prince?


ANSWER: No doubt the swallow is a bird but even then it plays
a very important role in this story. The swallowis a bird fond of
living in hot climate. It cannot survive in cold weather. In the
story The action-doer is the swallow. The happy princess sad on
seeing the miseries of the people.

He wants to do something to lesson to their sorrows and


sufferings.it is only through the swallow that the virtuous acts of
the happy Prince are put into practice.

The swallow is a virtuous character. It believes in selfless


work.the swallows sacrifice gives us a great moral lesson.it is a
bird which cannot live in very cold weather but it knows that its
service are needed to wipe the tears of others.The Prince allows
to go to Egypt but it prefers to stay with the prince who has lost
his eyes. Even God appreciate the sacrifice .the swallow
sacrifices unique. Indeed the swallowis an important character in
the story.
QUESTION 3 Discuss the theme of the story ?
ANSWER: The writing is packed with valuable themes such as
judging based on outward appearances, the disparity between
poverty and wealth, sacrifice, and love and compassion. Both
the Happy Prince and his newfound friend, the swallow, offer

Wilde tale.

Have you ever heard someone say, 'It's better to give than
receive?' They could have been referring to any number of
things: giving a gift, helping someone at work, or volunteering
for a worthy cause.

The main character in our short story, The Happy Prince written


by Oscar Wilde, sure thought so. He was willing to give up his
greatest possessions for the benefit of people who were hurting
and less fortunate.

Let's take a closer look at this tale involving a princely statue


and a friendly swallow.

The Statue and the Swallow


When our short tale opens, we're introduced to the Happy
Prince, an ornate statue situated high on a pole overlooking the
city. He boasts a sword with a ruby on its handle, sapphires for
eyes, and delicate leaves of gold covering his entire body. The
townspeople are proud of the statue and admire the warmth and
beauty that it gives off.

It's springtime in the prince's city, and a group of swallows has


moved from one location and are en route to Egypt, leaving
behind one of their own. This particular swallow, the second
protagonist, has fallen in love with a local Reed bird. They
spend all spring and summer together, but their love is short-
lived, and the brokenhearted swallow starts making plans to
rejoin his friends.

ANSWER: The two precious thing that the angels bought to the
god were the dead crow and the happy Prince's statue .

Dead crow was selected because he helped happy prince and


happy prince has given everything to the people...in need.
