Q. As the Public Relations Officer of Sunshine Food Products Ltd., Ramapuram, Chennai
you have been asked to prepare a proposal for selling up a Cultural and Recreation
Centre on the Company’s factory premises at Madurai. The proposal is to be considered
by the Boards of Directors in its next meeting. Write this proposal for submission to the

vi. Brief description:


There is a large amount of Cultural disputes and alcohol abuse in the
company. This is affecting the total output and hence causing a decrease in
sales and profits. Setting up a cultural and recreational centre in Madurai will
help not only in sales and profit, but will also help in the employee motivation
and satisfaction in the company. This facility will be a suitable answer to this
situation. This solution and the in depth explanation of the situation will be
presented in the next meeting with the board of directors.

Statement of the problem

There is a large variety of people in the company in regards to cultural. This is


leading to cultural disputes in the company with no solution. A lot of the
employees are also abusing alcohol which is affecting the output and the work
place environment.

Objectives

The objective is to install a Cultural and Recreational centre in Madurai so that


people can settle cultural disputes and also get help with their addictions. The
main objectives are settle workplace environment, happier employees and
increase in total output.

Technical plan

The plan is to have at least 5 workers in the centre with in-depth knowledge.
Also we require medication.
Equipment Cost Justification
a) 5 staff members 3 lakh/month Salary to the people who will
help us with their in depth
courage.
b) Accessories 1 lakh/month Essentials to keep the centre
running.
c) Books 50 lakh For continuous updating of
knowledge.
d) Medicine 20 lakh To give the addicts. Eg.
Nicotine patches
TOTAL 74 lakhs

Management plan
The installation of the centre will be done by workers the company will hire.
The technical staff would take over the responsibility of operating and
maintaining it after it starts functioning. One senior technician will look after
the new system. The supervision of the centre will be done by the following
people.
a) Kiran, therapist
b) Ram, cultural specialist
c) Krishna, counsellor
d) Lakshay, therapist
e) Pragya, recovered alcoholic

The therapist will support both the cultural specialists and the counsellor.
The recovered alcoholic will provide his own experienced life.

Cost estimate
The Rs.3 crore is required for non-recording expenditure. Out of which 2.5
crore will be for hardware (walls, interior, A/C etc) and 0.5 crore will be for
software. The breakup of the software is given below:

a) Material 0.3 crore


b) Electricity 0.15 crore
c) Stationary and contingencies 0.05 crore
Total 2.05 crore
The sum for non recurring expenditure is required for one year. From the
second year onwards it will be met from the resources of the centre.
Conclusion
This facility will be the key to help all disputes regarding culture and these
want to recover from their alcohol abuse. This centre will be the key to
maximising output and profits.
