1. General

This Retrofit Plan will be issued for retrofitting the 63,000 DWT Bulk Carrier to
operation with BWTS (Ballast Water Treatment System) according to BWM -
International Convention for the Control and Management of Ships’ Ballast
Water and Sediments, 2004.

Three potential makers with different principle are as follows:

1. NK-O3 BLUEBALLAST system


2. TECHCROSS ELECTRO-CLEEN system
3. PANASIA GloEn-Patrol system

Two (2) blind flanges (DN350) and one (1) spectacle flange after each ballast
pump are provided for future installation of NK-O3 BLUEBALLAST system and
PANASIA GloEn-Patrol system. Three (3) blind flanges (DN150) are provided for
ballast water sampling. Details refer to attachment 1.

BWTS room is prepared on B platform for future installation of BWTS.

The particular of ballast pumps on board is as follows:

2 x 1000 m3/h @ 0.25 MPa

Space for 400A circuit breaker of BWTS power was reserved in main
switchboard, the 400A circuit breaker of BWMP power should be purchased and
installed in main switchboard by owner in future.

BWTS cable laying space is reserved by shipyard, power cables between main
switchboard and main control cabinet of BWTS system should be purchased
and installed by owner in future. And all control cables for BWMP system inside
ballast treatment room should be purchased and installed by owner in future.

4. Remarks:

Small connection in ballast water system such as ozone injection, TRO sensor
sampling, neutralizing injection and etc. should be installed by owner in the
future.

4. Remarks:

Two (2) DN150 branch pipes for ejecting water treatment should be installed by
owner in the future.

One (1) DN150 branch pipe for backflushing pump overboard should be
installed by owner in the future.

4. Remarks:

The head of ballast pumps ordered is not including the pressure loss in this
system, that means the total ballast time will be much more than without this
system.

Two (2) DN150 branch pipes for ejecting water treatment should be installed by
owner in the future.

One (1) DN150 branch pipe for backflushing pump overboard should be
installed by owner in the future.
