Many XDCAM EX users have requested full shoulder-type XDCAM EX


camcorder as a step up from the PMW-EX3.
These customers accept 1/2inch sensor and lens configurations.
- There is a clear opportunity to offer a low cost full shoulder type XDCAM EX
camcorder offering better picture quality than 1/3rd inch shoulder camcorders
(e.g. Panasonic’s HPX-301 / JVC’s GY-HM700)

Two packages will be available,


K package: With Fujinon Lens.
L package: Without Lens.

PMW-320 Main Specification & Features

Main Specification
− Basically the PMW-320 offers the same great features of PMW-350 with the exception of
the following:
− 3 x ½-inch Exmor CMOS Imagers (same as the PMW-EX3).
− DVCAM Recording and Playback is a standard feature, i.e. not an option as with the PMW-350.

PMW-350 and PMW-320 differences


− Some specifications will differ because of the different imager size.
− Sensitivity: F11 (at 50i)
− S/N ratio: 54dB
− Gain up: up to 24dB
− Spectral system: F1.6 prism system (with quartz filter)

Lens Configuration New!

The PMW-320 offers a standard ½-inch Lens Mount


− Standard ½-inch Lenses available in the market can be attached.
− N.B. for Analogue Lenses, the assign button and zoom control from a 700 protocol remote controller
does not work.
The K-Package will be supplied with a new 16x Fujinon ½-inch Lens
− The specification and design is almost the same as the lens of PMW-350K.
− Auto Focus and ALAC are supported.

PMW-320 - Design
The cosmetic design of the PMW-320 has been changed
to differentiate it clearly from the PMW-350.
− It is important for customers to easily tell the difference (e.g.
hire customers)
− There are 6 differences:
There are Six Design Differences:
1. The rubber grip colour on the Handle
2. The background colour of the Exmor logo
3. 1/2” lens mount, and the colour of the lens mount ring
4. The background colour of the model name plate
5. Position of the imaging mark
6. The DVCAM Logo is standard on the PMW-320
− In PMW-350, it can be added by installing the DVCAM option (CBK-DV01)
