What is a logical connector?
A logical connector is a word or phrase that
connects two ideas and shows the relationship
between the two ideas. Logical connectors are
also known as signal words because they signal
the relationship of the ideas to the reader.
Kinds of Logical Connectors
1. Coordinating Conjunctions
2. Subordinating Conjunctions
A. Coordinating Conjunctions
Also called as coordinators, A coordinating
conjunction connects two or more words,
phrases or independent clauses of equal
importance within a sentence. The most
common coordinating conjunctions; FANBOYS
(For And Not But Or Yet So)
B. Subordinating Conjunctions
Also called as subordinators, A
subordinating conjunction connects an
independent clause to a dependent clause. A
subordinating conjunction always comes
before the dependent clause.
Examples of Subordinating Conjunctions are;
1. After 2. Before 3. Even though 4. If 5. Since
6. though 7. Unless
