Writing Emails: Useful Phrases1

Conventions
 Phrases that are very formal are followed by [*].
 A period (.) at the end of the phrase indicates that the phrase ends at this point.
 Three dots (…) this means that the phrase would continue.
 A colon (:) indicates that a list and / or comments would follow.
