The scheme for “Development of Solar Parks and Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects” was rolled out by Ministry of
New & Renewable Energy on 12-12-2014. Under this scheme, it was proposed to set up at least 25 Solar Parks and
Ultra Mega Solar Power Projects targeting over 20,000 MW of solar power installed capacity within a span of 5
years starting from 2014-15.
The government committed Rs. 19,500 crores for a PLI program in the Union Budget 2022-23 to enhance
production of high-efficiency solar modules. The latest addition to the PLI plan (Production Linked Incentives) will
facilitate production capacity of 40GW solar modules by firms like Tata Power Solar and others.

India Setup collaborates with Uzbekistan , Saudi Arabia and Guinea for research and implementation &
deployment of pilot projects
Tata Power Co. has benefited from lower taxation laws in last 2 years. It has resulted in increased revenues and
research and development spending.
Trade relationships with foreign countries because of political stability and strength permits businesses like Tata
Power Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability to sustain offshore company affiliations quickly and
effortlessly.
Tata Power solar solutions are available to a wide range of customer segments and over 1.4 GW of modules have
been shipped worldwide. , and their manufacturing expertise allows them to create custom solutions.

Opponents of alternative energy argue that there is a much higher upfront cost, the sun and wind are intermittent
sources of energy and we do not yet have storage capabilities, so backup energies will be required, and there are
geographic limitations, including environmental factors, that could prevent building big wind or solar farms.

As the country is recovering gradually from Covid 19, Power sector is highly contributing to the counstry's GDP. In
real terms, GDP is predicted to expand by 8-8.5 percent in 2022-23.This will allow Tata power solar to contribute to
contry's GDP.

Tata Power, one of India's top power generation companies, increased its net profit by 71.6 percent to Rs 425.8
crore in the third quarter of FY2021-22.
Tata Power jumps 4% at Rs 198.70 in Intra-day trade , hits new high as solar arm wins multiple orders worth Rs 538
Crore from Energy Efficiency Services Limited to set up multiple distyributed ground mounted solar projects

government has designed policies, programs, and a liberal environment to attract foreign investments to ramp up
the country in the renewable energy market at a rapid rate. It is anticipated that the renewable energy sector can
create a large number of domestic jobs over the following years

India's annual inflation rate surged to 6.95 percent in March 2022, the most since October 2020 and higher above
market expectations of 6.35 percent.
High energy costs, rising inflation, and the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic are  having an adverse effect on India's
economy. This will impact companies like Tata Power Solar to bear high production costs
In order to give a boost to renewable energy , where long term funding is required , the rates have been revised to
as low as 8.25%

Tata power solar targets on different consumer segments like resedential customers, organisation and institutions.
It is one of th top player in Solar Industry which has touched th elives of farmer through their solar pump product.
To meet its aim of 175 GW, India's solar industry is estimated to create 300,000 jobs by 2022. Tata Power Solar can
create a huge number of new employment opportunities which will assist to lower the area's unemployment rate.
Whereas previous research has focused on women mostly as end users of solar and biomass technologies, this
research attempts also to understand women's potential as entrepreneurs, facilitators, designers, and innovators.

Price of solar energy devices considerably need to be reduced and need to available in small size . Awarerness plays
a vital role in rural areas to educate
Government of India has set targets to reduce India’s total projected carbon emission by 1 billion tonnes by 2030,
reduce the carbon intensity of the nation’s economy by less than 45% by the end of the decade, achieve net-zero
carbon emissions by 2070 and expand India’s renewable energy installed capacity to 500 GW by 2030.

The solar energy sector has been growing with dramatic reduction in commercial pricing, improved efficiencies and
improved deployments/usage conveniences. This will enable policy makers to improve the penetration of this new
and promising green technology

Sunlight must be abundant and consistent for solar energy to be ana excellent choice . For example, clouds or a few
rainy days can diminish the power of solar panels. Installation of solar roof tops in resendential homes especialaly in
such areas will be quite challenging for Tata POwer Solar
Photovoltaic cells are made of harmful products and chemicals which are used for converting light into electricity.
The atmosphere could be harmed if potentially hazardous fluids leak
Integrating best practices in to every operational activity with assigned line-functional responsibilities at all levels
for improving and sustaining environment performance.

This released intense solar activity can cause sudden disturbances in the Earth’s atmosphere and further create
ground telecommunication interferences, blackouts, transportation problems, water supply problems, potential
health effects, as well as natural disasters, such as forest fires. These extreme events can cause billions of dollars of
damage and impact individuals, families, communities, and societies.

According to the international renewable energy agency by 2030, the cummulative value of recoverable raw
materials from end-of-life panels globally will be about $450 million, which is equivalent to the cost of raw
materials currently needed to produce about 60 million new panels. Diverting solar panels from landfills to recycling
saves space in landfills in addition to capturing the value of the raw materials.
Solar energy technologies do not produce air pollution or greenhouse gases when operating. Using solar energy can
have a positive, indirect effect on the environment when solar energy replaces or reduces the use of other energy
sources that have larger effects on the environment

Tata Power Solar prepared to embrace this paradigm shift with consumer centric growth plan by innovating LoT &
digital services

Technology trend awareness is referred as the ability of an individual to be aware and conscious of new and
popular technology that has gained universal adoption across various industries or marketplaces. Tata Power Solar
describes innovation diffusion theory stated that attributes like compatibility, relative advantage , observability,
trialability, and complexity were the parameters that would help to determine an individual's adoption of
innovation

Tata Power Solar has provided technological innovation solution to many projects(list out projects) Tata Power
Solar's R&D expenditure in FY21 was $7.44 crore
Automation in solar technology widely using supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA)/ distributed control
system (DCS), operations and maintenance (O&M) automation, automation in plant installation, automation in
balance of systems (BoS) and automated communication systems in establishing solar projects

The project, called Solar Protocol, is a network of servers that are directly tied to solar and energy storage. When
the sun shines its brightest in a given region, that region’s servers are activated. The structure bucks the prevailing
model of shifting data processing to the fastest, lowest-cost available processing capacity, to one that pays heed to
the energy being used to power it.
Intellectual capital at Tata Power principally comprises of intellectual property such as patents, copyrights,
software, rights and licences, and institutional knowledge entrenched in the company's business operations.

One of Tata Power Solar's top priorities is to ensure the safety of its workforce, and the company follows all
applicable health, safety, security, and environmental regulations.

In the power solar sector it is noted that the Indian Patent Office database reveals over 6000 patent applications
published to date. Solar photovoltaic methodology has received the greatest number of patents, followed by wind
energy technology.

Tata Power Solar offers a platform for members to learn and grow while working with a world-class brand in the
solar power business, with a vision to improve the world for the better.

Solar consumer protections broadly need to include laws, policies, and programs aimed at protecting consumers
entering the solar market against unsafe and unfair goods, services, and business practices for consumer
protections
