11. Summary

NOTE: This resistance organization has eighty-one cadre groups

geographically distributed throughout the Soviet Zone.
The groups are assigned to specific functions, such as E & E.

a. The East Zone has been divided for CADRASTIC administrative purposes into two
parts, North and South. This division will not affect the structure of the organi-
zation but should facilitate headquarters management and control. Since an organiza-
tional bneakdown for these two sections is not yet available at the home office, a
consolidated summary follows:

Area Chiefs 4
81 groups 485 members
W/T Operators 15
Independent
assets 51
DOTAL DDR ASSETS 555
b. Tares agents have been arrested in addition to the two reported last month.
To insure that this would not lead to further arrests, nine other agents have been
exfiltrated to West Berlin. This measure, coupled with the compartmentation which
was built into the organization, has apparently contained the compromise. A thorough
security investigation is being conducted.
