KUYA J’s PET

PHOTOGRAPHY
I. Statement of Purpose
Pets are our only business at Kuya J's Pet Photography. We're committed to preserving a
particular relationship by capturing a moment you'll never forget. We will capture your
memories in a magnificent work of photographic art using our many years of knowledge and a
friendly approach in a relaxed environment. The perfect shot that captures the individuality of
the pet and the caring relationship between the pet and owner exemplifies our strong dedication
to client satisfaction.
Kuya J's Pet Photography is a modest business whose goal is to make every pet owner
smile when they see their beloved family member immortalized in a breathtaking portrait. All
staff members and vendors must work together to achieve our aim of exceptional customer
service and satisfaction. The business is set up as a part-time sole proprietorship run from home.
The company intends to grow sales and expand its client base in order to become a full-time
operation. The business will provide a comprehensive selection of personalized portrait
packages. Portrait sessions can take place in the well-equipped studio, at the client's house, or in
the great outdoors.
II. The Business

A. Description of Business

Kuya J's Adorable Pet Photography was intended to be a side hustle for Kuya J. It will be
a small business that caters to the requirements of its customers and their pets. Currently, we are
based in Dangay, Roxas, Oriental Mindoro. Kuya J’s Pet Photography will employ two people
initially, with aspirations to grow to a full-time enterprise within five years. The owner is the
photographer in charge, and he will need one assistance. Kuya J’s Pet Photography cares about
its surroundings. It will help the local humane society by providing pro bono services and
sponsoring awards for local dog and cat specialty events. Kuya J's Pet Photography's crew
recognizes the importance of our clients' time and offers flexible schedules and places for
photography services. We also comprehend the client's need to be satisfied with the return on his
or her investment. We expect nothing less than the finest from ourselves and our vendors at
Kuya J’s Pet Photography.
Kuya J's Pet Photography began as a part-time private enterprise run from home. The
company intends to grow sales and expand its client base in order to become a full-time
operation. The business will provide a comprehensive selection of personalized portrait
packages. Portrait sessions can take place in the well-equipped studio, at the client's house, or in
the great outdoors. Kuya J's Pet Photography's founder has a long history as a professional
photographer, and he owns all of his equipment, so there is no need to invest in photographic
equipment. Kuya J’s Pet Photography has low overhead because it is a home-based business. A
short-term loan, the founder's funds, and a friend's investment are among the sources of funding.
Even as the company grows, the creator intends to preserve the human touch in the firm and
reduce overhead to a minimal. Both the creator and the investor are homeowners with excellent
credit scores.
B. The Market

Many white collar professionals nowadays, especially those between the ages of 26 and 60,
keep at least one pet at home. The pet is viewed as a member of the family, and owners spend
$26 billion on gourmet food, cosmetic services, health care, and specialized items each year
(Hunter, 1999). Kuya J's Pet Photography will target clients from these existing markets to reach
this audience. By focusing in pet photography, we will meet a client's existing need. We will
promote our quality products and services through print advertisements, brochures, and building
working partnerships with pet groups and pet specialized companies frequented by our potential
client base.
Middle- to upper-middle-class families, couples, individuals, or private organizations and
corporations are our target markets. We chose these groups because they are more likely to have
pets who are considered family members and because they can afford high-quality studio photos
of their dogs. Kuya J's Pet Photography satisfies a need for capturing a moment in time, keeping
a special relationship, and gifting loved ones (of the human kind) with a high-quality portrait of
themselves and their closest buddy. With rising affluence and population, as well as increased
expenditure on pet-related things and services, the demand for pet photography services is only
going to grow.
Kuya J's Pet Photography will form partnerships with pet specialty stores in order to
provide candid portraits of pets and their owners in seasonal scenes. This will be utilized as a
marketing technique to enhance visibility to persons aged 26 to 60, despite the fact that it
generates revenue. The goal of this marketing plan is to boost our studio and on-location portrait
business. The proof photos for the photo sessions are displayed in a gorgeous folio as part of
Kuya J's Pet Photography's sales strategy. We will offer all proof shots to the client for review;
however, we will choose and highlight portraits that capture beauty and personality, and we will
enhance the attractiveness of the portraits by grouping them in our custom folios. We'll take the
time to go over the proofs with the customer and make sure they're happy with the results.
C. Competition

Kuya J's Pet Photography is in a competitive position unlike any other. We compete against
the traditional picture studio, which may photograph dogs as an add-on to portraits of people. In
the Roxas Area, we compete against two other exclusive pet photographers as well as a slew of
amateur photographers. When compared to the services we provide, the benefits and downsides
of each of our competitors are rarely comparable in terms of quality and pricing.
The competitive advantage of Kuya J's Pet Photography is its dedication to customer service
and satisfaction. We provide a variety of services, have flexible scheduling, and use cutting-edge
technology to create stunning photography images. Pet photography is our core business, not a
pastime or a hobby, at Kuya J’s Pet Photography. We know how to work with pets and how to
put all of the pieces together for a great portrait session. We are patient, and our primary goal is
to produce high-quality results.

D. Location of Business

Kuya J’s Pet Photography is located at Sitio Complex, Dangay, Roxas Oriental Mindoro (in front
of Church of Christ)
E. Management

In the first few years, Kuya J's Pet Photography will be managed very simply. The
photographer, in addition to executing the artistic functions of the firm, is also the proprietor and
must be active in all parts of the business at first, including marketing, payroll, account
receivable and payable administration, and other extraneous business matters. Additional
workers can be added as the business accounts develop to relieve the photographer of these
obligations. One part-time employee will function as an office and photographer's assistant for
the first two years of operation. As the assumptions about profitability come to fruition in the
third year of operation, this position will be elevated to a full-time assistant.
The expansion of Kuya J's Pet Photography will be gradual rather than rapid. It's probable
that the company will require additional personnel. Gaps in the personnel structure are likely to
arise among the support workers. It's realistic to assume that the needs of the workplace, as well
as supporting the photographer, would be too much for one person to handle. The second staff
member will be employed as a complement to the person who occupies the first part-time role,
and both will be trained in the other's responsibilities.

F. Personnel

There is no need for a complex personnel structure because the company is small. The
receptionist/photographer assistant position will be part-time at first. The owner's remuneration
is not predetermined and will be determined at the end of the year based on the business's
profitability. Only because the owner has sufficient revenue to cover typical living expenditures
is this possible.
A reasonable staff for start-up would be one part-time employee in addition to the photographer.
The duties and job description would for this person would include:

 General reception duties, including phones, mail, and greeting customers.

 Setting appointments and managing appointment calendar.
 Tracking inventory and supplies.
 Billing, handling both accounts receivable and accounts payable.
 Assist photographer in portrait sessions.
 Assist with marketing strategies and plans.
G. Sources of Funding, Application and Expected Effect of Loan
Investment
In order to start a photography business, you'll need to invest a lot of money in equipment
and space. Kuya J's Pet Photography's proprietor has been a long-time photographer and has
professional-level photographic equipment to get the firm off to a solid start with less debt.
Furthermore, it will be a home-based business with no commitment to rent or lease. The
following graphs and tables show how these upfront investments allow Kuya J's Pet Photography
to operate with low debt and overhead. This gives the company a faster break-even point and
higher profit margins right now. A debt-free mentality will be maintained while Kuya J’s Pet
Photography expands.
Tax rates are included for informational purposes. We carry a small loan burden that will affect
this rate minimally.

Our cash situation is optimum. Although Adorable Pet Photography begins with little extra
cash, our increased growth allows the business to gain financial ground quickly. The cash flow is
negative for only two months of the first year, during the expected off-season months; the
business will be prepared for this with cash reserves, and will maintain positive cash balances.
