Corona Virus

Coronavirus is a virus which belong to Coronaviridoe. Based on the


assessment made by the WHO, coronavirus is characterized as a pandemic.
The word “pandemic” is a disease occuring over a wide geographic area
affecting the population. Coronavirus or COVID-19 infects people of all ages.
But, older people and those with underlying medical conditions are at higher
risk of getting a severe disease.

Fever, cough, and shortness of breathing are signs and symptoms of


coronavirus. Severe cases can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory
syndrome and sometimes death.
One way to prevent the spread of the viruses is through frequent
cleaning of hands using alcohol or soap and water. Another thing is covering
the nose and mouth with disposable tissues or with a flexed elbow. In addition,
avoiding close contacts with people having cough and fever must be
exercised.
