II. RATIONALE

The importance of having an advancement on reading, especially to the grade 7 students, is for them to
be prepared of knowing deep and hard words to pronounce and the definition of that words. This will
goes smooth upon day to day operations. And a way to succeed this plan, implementer should know or
have a knowledge about the content of the books they will be implementing.

Student now a days are having difficulties on reading and pronouncing words. They do not know how to
read basic words and also they are too slow on reading. It is because to the 2 years pandemic, that we'll
be able to learned through online and modular.

We do not know if the two years that had passed also give them a chance to learned how to write, read,
compute and other things to learned. But based on what I've seen, majority of them didn't goes well in
reading. Now, the 2 years pandemic has something to do with children's difficulties on coping up all the
knowledge they should have learned in reading text.

Since, there's a lot of students in grade 7 that will not know or be able to read text and deep words.
Implementing an Advance reading can help students to cope up on the learning they have been missed
with the past years of pandemic. It will also give them the opportunity to be ahead on the learnings
what should they learn in reading. Advance reading program also implementing words that something
to do with their difficulties. For them to identify what is it and what knowledge they can get about it. A
tools to strengthen their weakness.

A student who knows on reading text can simply identify what is it implying. It is also serve
them as a guide when there's something they want to know and to learn. As a future educator, reading
is one of the most important thing we should learned, for us to be able to know what's happening in
our surrounding. Therefore, having an advance reading help students to cope and keep up to the lesson
they are learning and how they can apply it on their daily lives.

III. OBJECTIVES

At the end of the activity, the members should be able to:

1. Assist students at risk to improve their reading skills.

2. Develop the reading abilities of slow non readers

3. Equip pupils with necessary reading materials

4. Encourage a sense of responsibility for one's own progress

IV. EXPECTED OUTPUTS

1. Improve their reading skills.

2. Pronounced word correctly.

3. Identify the definition of the text.

4. Applied the knowledge they learned.

V. METHODOLOGIES

Objective 1: Conduct a one on one reading text to classify the learners based on their weakness

Objective 2: Meet grade 7 teachers for planning

Objective 3: Home visit the learners for remedial reading and follow up

Objective 4: Provide more reading comprehension activities
