PERSONAL HYGIENE POLICY

The personnel handling the finished product – Refined sugar shall:

1. Keep fingernails short and clean. Not to wear false nails / use nail polish.
2. Have a clean short hair, covered with a head cap. Ladies in shop floor shall not use
flowers.
3. Have a clean shaven face. If growing beard is un-avoidable for religious reasons, the
same shall be kept trimmed and clean and covered with nose mask
4. Employees shall not chew gum, eat or drink while on the job at the shop floor.
Chewing of tobacco, Betel nut ,spitting and smoking are prohibited inside the
production premises and while handling sugar
5. Employees are not allowed to have food in the shop floor. Eating and drinking water
are allowed only in designated areas. Personal items like Tiffin boxes, water bottles etc
to be kept only in designated places.
6. Have a good hand wash before taking up the shift responsibilities, have a good
personal cleanliness and clean clothing free from dirt and odor.
7. All employees shall undergo medical checks as per the company policy.
8. Employees are advised to Report any illnesses and health problems if any to the shift
executives before start of work. (Where appropriate, the employee may be sent to a
Doctor for ascertaining his health condition)
9. Contract workmen in bagging area shall be subjected to medical checks once in a year
to ensure any possible food contamination from handling does not arise.
10. Any personnel having open wounds, skin infections and lesions are not permitted in
packing room.
11. If deviations are noticed, suitable corrective action shall be taken.
12. All the employees working in packing section are checked for Personal hygiene check
list and recorded.
