AR 2162 | Perception Report of the USC Days Programs and Activities

The USC Days, one of the most-awaited event in the University of San Carlos. It is a
week-long event from the 23rd to the 29th of October 2022 that gives the students of the
University of San Carlos to showcase their talents and skills, in terms of sports and recreational
activities. The USC Days also host various events such as live performances of Carolinians and
guest artists as well as webinars hosted by individuals who are experts in their respective fields.
Although it is a week-long event, the university still complied with the protocols and
requirements of the IATF and the EOC to conduct the face-to-face or live events. One of the
requirements was the limited number of students that can enter the campus during the
week-long event. Thus, students have to pre-register so that they will be given an e-ticket that is
a requirement for entering the campus. Different departments of the university have a specific
number of students that are allowed to enter: 229 for the School of Architecture, Fine arts, and
Design (SAFAD), 389 for the School of Arts and Sciences (SAS), 445 for the School of Business
and Economics (SBE), 96 for the School of Healthcare Professions (SHCP), 96 for the School
of Law and Governance (SLG), 389 for the School of Engineering (SOE), 48 for the School of
Education, and 216 for the Senior High School (SHS). Of course, these different schools have
tryouts for the athletes which will represent their school in different sports events. The following

For me, who have only attended one day onsite because of the pre-registration ticket
limit, I only witnessed the Opening Ceremony on Monday, October 24, 2022. I watched the
cheerdance competition participated by different departments. It was an intense competition but
in the end, the SBE took home the bacon. I also attended the Mr. and Ms. USC Days 2022 but
did not see who won the competition because I left early for lunch. There is also the Floral art
competition, Entrepreneur’s Bazaar, and the SBE Merchandise showcase as well as the Zumba
+ Fun run competition. As I am an Architecture student, for the following days, I attended the
webinars that I think can help me improve in my design and as a student. I attended the
webinars “How to Price your Artworks” on Tuesday, 25th of October 2022, the SAFAD HEx
(Hybrid Exhibition) 2022 Opening on Wednesday, 26th of October 2022, through an online
platform, and the Hudyaka Workshop on Thursday, October 27, 2022. I also attended webinars
from my NSTP classes from October 25 - 27, 2022. It was a very informative and a productive
week for me as I have learned so many new things that will help me in my studies and for future
references. It would also be better if this pandemic were to end so that I can fully witness the
long week event of the USC Days and experience it like it used to be.
