PERFORMANCE TASK 2 : PREPARING A WORKING BIBLIOGRAPHY

DUE DATE : OCTOVER 12,2022
For this performance task, you(INDIVIDUALLY) are asked to read at least two (2) literature and
evaluate each using the format below. This task will help you prepare a working BIBLIOGRAPHY so
that you can compile full citation information and write a paragraph of summary and analysis for each
literature that you have reviewed. YOUR READINGS SHOULD BE RELATED TO THE TOPIC OF YOUR
TEAM RESEARCH SO THAT YOU CAN CONTRIBUTE INFORMATION AND UNDERSTANDING TO THE TEAM
RESEARCH.
All readings should be primary sources that are peer-reviewed ( journal articles, chapters in edited
books) AND SHOULD NOT BE MORE THAN 7 YEARS OLD. For the sources – Only one (1) can be web
sites, the other one (1) should be scholarly peer-reviewed articles from EBSCO.

This paper explores the relationship between student academic
achievement in a K–12 virtual learning environment and teacher comments,
student demographic data, and LMS use.
Students who finished biology courses in a Midwestern state virtual school
in 2007–08 and took the final exam were included in this study (sampling
strategies, data collection, statistical tools). For data analysis, the
hierarchical linear modeling (HLM) method was used.
The implications for education have been discussed. Based on the
findings and limitations, additional research is proposed. The findings
show that these factors can influence student academic performance
in biology courses in a variety of ways.
Different effects of student academic performance in biology courses.
A number of variables, including students' learning abilities, parental
background, peer pressure, teacher quality, and learning
infrastructure, have an impact on students' academic achievement.
Graduation rates are gathered by state and federal education officials
as a benchmark for secondary school performance.

The purpose of this study was to examine online research and
comprehension among students in two pseudonymous school
districts, West Town (economically advantaged) and East Town
(economically challenged; N = 256).
Students also completed a prior domain knowledge assessment and a
brief Internet use questionnaire. The assessments were used in an
Internet simulation created as part of a larger project. four scientific
skill areas and two knowledge domains to be evaluated.
After controlling for pretest differences in offline reading and writing,
a significant gap in online research and comprehension remained. The
findings suggest that there was a distinct and independent
achievement gap for online reading.

Individuals and society are badly impacted by the achievement gap
because students lose out on job and professional prospects and the
rest of us miss out on their contributions.
