Christmas Gnomes ornaments.

Materials needed:
1. YarnArt Jeans, 55% cotton, 45% acryl, 50g/160m
(weight 2 Fine yarn, 1,76 oz/174 yds), next colors:
• brown № 40
• beige № 07
• red № 90
• white № 01
• green № 69
• yellow № 35
• orange № 85
• black № 53

2. Crochet hook 2 mm or 2.25 mm (US: B, UK:14)


3. Fiberfill, thick sewing needle, pins.
If you follow this advice your gnomes will be 12 cm/5 inch.

Abbreviations:
ch – chain stitch
sc – single crochet
sl st – slip stitch
inc – increase, 2 sc in the next sc
dec – decrease, single crochet 2 stitches together
(16) – number of stitches in a round
(inc, sc)*N – repeat N times
BLO – back loop only
Finish the round in an invisible way: thread the end of yarn
through the needle, skip one stitch and guide the yarn into
the next stitch as shown on the photo.
Insert the needle back in the same stitch where the yarn end
is coming from. Pull the yarn and fasten the obtained stitch
on the wrong side of detail.

1.Body
With red yarn. Work in continuous rounds without sl st.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the MR
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: (inc, sc)*6 (18)
Rnd 4: (inc, 2 sc)*6 (24)
Rnd 5: (inc, 3 sc)*6 (30)
Rnd 6: (inc, 4 sc)*6 (36)

Connect black yarn (don’t cut off red
one):
Rnd 9-10: sc in each stitch around 2
rounds
With red yarn (cut off black one):
Rnd 11: (dec, 13 sc)*3 (42)
Rnd 12: (dec, 5 sc)*6 (36)
Rnd 13-14: sc in each stitch around 2
rounds
Rnd 15: (dec, 4 sc)*6 (30)
Rnd 16-17: sc in each stitch around 2

Stuff the body evenly and firmly with
the fiberfill.

Cut off the yarn, leave a long tail.


Close the top using a needle, hide the
tail into the body.
Embroider the buckle with yellow yarn
as shown on the photos.

2.Beard
With white yarn. Work in continuous rounds without sl st.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the MR
Rnd 2: (inc, 1 sc)*3 (9)
Rnd 3: (inc, 2 sc)*3 (12)
Rnd 4: (inc, 1 sc)*6 (18)
Rnd 5-8: sc in each stitch around 4
rounds
Don’t stuff. Fold so that the stitches
of the last round line each other.
Crochet the opposite stitches with 8-9
sc.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long tail, sew to the free
front loops of 18th round of body.

3.Nose
With beige yarn.
Rnd 1: 7 sc in the MR, go on in
continuous rounds without sl st.
Rnd 2: 7 inc (14)
Rnd 3: 14 sc
Rnd 4: 7 dec (7)
Don’t stuff.
Close the top using a needle.
Sew to the beard as shown on the photo.

4.Hat
With red yarn.
Work in rounds without sl st.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the MR

Connect white yarn (cut off red one):
Rnd 17-18: sc in each stitch around 2 rounds
Cut off the yarn.
Finish the round in an invisible way.
Put and sew to the body with white yarn.

5.Pompom
With white yarn. Work in continuous rounds without slip
stitches.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the MR
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: 12 sc
Rnd 4: 6 dec (6)
Add some fiberfill. Cut off the yarn,
leave a long tail.
Close the top using a needle.
Sew to the top of hat.

6.Arms
Start with the white yarn.
Rnd 1: 8 sc in the MR, go on in rounds without sl st.
Rnd 2: 8 sc
Connect red yarn (cut off white one):
Rnd 3-4: sc in each stitch around 2 rounds.
Don’t stuff. Fold so that the stitches of the last round
line each other.
Crochet the opposite stitches with 3-4 sc.
Cut off the yarn, leave a long tail.
Sew to the body as shown on the photo.

and crochet: 1 sc, 1 inc in the next stitch, repeat to the
end of free loops of 17th round.

5.Pompom and decor


With red and yellow yarn. Make 2 red and 3 yellow décor.
Work in continuous rounds without slip stitches.
Rnd 1: 6 sc in the MR
Rnd 2: 6 inc (12)
Rnd 3: 12 sc
Rnd 4: 6 dec (6)
Add some fiberfill. Cut off the yarn, leave a long tail.
Close the top using a needle. Sew to the hat.
