• What is a genomic imprinting?

Genomic imprinting is the process by only one copy of a gene either from
the mother or the father is expressed, while the other copy is silencing. For
most genes, we inherit two working copies -- one from mom and one from
dad. Silencing usually happens through the addition of methyl groups
during egg or sperm formation.
• What does gen phida2 do?
This gene helps regulate the storage of glycogen and hormones in the
placenta, this is a mechanism to increase the supply of nutrients to the fetus
at the end of pregnancy, when the fetus demands more maternal
resources, to improve growth.
• Lower doses of phlda2 do what the placenta?
regulates the size of the placenta so that ge is expressed, this is the more
gene there is less placenta grows and produces fewer hormones which
affects the genomic imprinting.
• Lower doses of the gene do what to the mother?
in low doses mothers have more activity at night but makes mothers
develop their caregiving priorities and make them better caregivers
• Is genomic imprinting in this case in favor of the father or the mother?
It favors mothers, showing that mothers can become better caregivers by
getting small amounts of the gene, this affects their behavior.

Why did i choose this scientific text?

I found it very interesting to know that a gene can affect the
behavior and development of a pregnancy and a mother in the
period of pregnancy and her child. but knowing that too much
gene can affect the development of both parents' genes.
