GENERAL INFORMATION
Range of Courses. We provide a wide range of electrical courses including nationally recognised City & Guilds Vocational Qualifications. They are all outlined in this document, but if you require one that is not listed we would be happy to tailor a course to your requirements. Class Size. Our class size is generally small. This generates a friendly atmosphere, leads to quicker learning and provides better consolidation of knowledge. Time is taken to debate current issues, provide coaching and to tailor the lesson points to individual circumstances. The emphasis is on tutoring and coaching, and as a result we have a high pass rate. Lecturers. Our lecturers have been in the industry for many years, and are Corporate members of national bodies such as The Institution of Engineering & Technology (The IET formerly The IEE). We have representation on IET Panels responsible for drafting updates to the 17th Edition of the Wiring Regulations, BS7671. Our lecturers are also Marking Examiners for City & Guilds and provide electrical engineering consultancy services throughout the UK and abroad. Equal Opportunities. Trans-Euro are committed to giving delegates an equal opportunity of gaining an award irrespective of age, gender, sexual orientation, race, religion, physical abilities, learning capabilities, eyesight, hearing etc in line with current UK legislation and EU directives. Clients with impairment(s) should make their requirements known in advance of booking courses in order to provide time for specialised staff external to the Centre to be made available to assist and for additional exam time to be sought where appropriate, eg for dyslexic clients or for those with hearing difficulties. The full Equal Opportunities Policy is available on request from the Course Secretary. Central Location. We are located in Towcester, Northamptonshire, within easy reach of the M1, M40, M42 and M25, and main centres of population. See our location map later in this document. Food and Drink. Lunch is provided each day during the 45-minute break. Candidates should make their own lunch arrangements on days when they are undergoing practical assessments. Start and finish times.
