A REPORT ON EVOLVING
FOOD HABITS IN MY
NEIGHBOURHOOD
An project on evolving food
tastes in my neighborhood
was initiated by me on june 3
2022 and it continuous for 10
10 days. The study the study
comprised a structured
questionnaire packet that
inquired demographic
information (age ,gender,
place of residence, current
employment).
Anthropometric data
(reported weight and
height)
And dietary habit
information of my
neighbourhood . I created a
Google form and asked my
neighbours to fill it which
includes the question I listed
above ..

IT WAS OBSERVED THAT
CORONA VIRUS IS
SOMETHING THAT HAVE A
MAJOR INPACT ON EATING
AND DRINKING HABITS OF
CONSUMER .ESPECIALLY AS
CONCERNS ABOUT COVID 19
ARE WIDE RANGING AND
COVER BOTH HEALTH AND
FINANCIAL WORRIES . THE
PEOPLE I INTERVIEWED
SEEMED TO BE MORE HEALTH
CONSIOUS AND CONCERED
ABOUT THE IMMUNITY TO
REDUCE VULNERBLITY TO
DISEASE AND ILLNESS . MOST
OF THE PEOPLE SAID THAT
THEY PLAN AND EAT AND
DRINK HEALTHIER, WHEN
ASKED WJATB STPS THEY
WOULD TAKE TO LEAD A
HEALTHIER LIFESTYLE THE
TOP THREE ANSWERS WERE
THAT THEY WILL INCREASE
INTAKE OF FRUITS,REDUCE
UNHYGINEC FOOD INTAKE
AND REDUCE INTAKE OF
SUGAR THIS SHOWS HOW
PEOPLE AFTER COVID 19 ARE
CONSIOUS ABOUT THEIR
HEALTH . TO NUTRITION ,
TURNING TO EVERY DAY
LIFESTYLE AND DRINK
PRODUCTS THAT WILL HELP
THEM TO BOOST THEIR
IMMUNITY.
ALMOST EVERYONE
ADDMITED THAT A SUDDEN
AND RADICAL CHANGE HAS
OCCURRED IN THEIR LIFE
AND HABITS WITH A DRASTIC
REUCTION OF ANY FORM
SOCIALISATION . EFFECT IN
THEIR EATING HABBITS AND
THEIR BEHAVIOUR. BESIDES
THIS (STAYING AT HOME ,
DIGITAL EDUCATION,SMART
WORKING) AND STOCK
PILING FOOD DUE TO
RESTRICTION IN GROCERY
SHOPPING RESULTED IN
BORDEM WHICH IN TURNED
INCREASE THE CRAVING OF
FOOD . THE PEOPLE EAT
MORE AND HARDLY REMAIN
PHYSICALLY FIT MOST OF
THEIR TIME SPENT IN
LOOKING RECIPIES ON
INTERNET . PEOPLE ALSO
SAID THAT RECIPES
REQUIRED GROCCERY ALSO
INCREASES THEIR ONLINE
SHOOPIBG HABBITS .
CONSUMPTION OF HEALTHY
FOOD HAS DECREASED AND A
HUGE INCREASE IN THE
CONSUMPTION OF UNHEALTY
OR JUNK FOOD LIKE (MAGGIE,
AND ROOLS ETC .)
IT IS WELL KNOWN HOW THE
NEGATIVE EMOTIONS CAN
LEAD TO OVER EATING THIS
IS ALSO KNOWN AS
EMOTIONAL EATING . SO
MANY PEOPLE REPORTED
THAT THEY HAVE GAIN A LOT
OF WEIGHT DURING
LOCKDOWN .
