CASE STUDY QUESTIONS

1. In the context of organizational behaviour, comment on the positive behaviours of both

candidates in this case.

Miss Ainina is a positive person who is full of motivated attitude. With this personality,
she can do any task and complete it in time as well as give a great harmony in the organization.
Additionally, the good work that she has may give her a good result. However, the drawback
on her side is she might not be in the same boat as her employees as she is lack communication
skills. Based on the context, she tends to put herself first and she might make a decision for the
departments’ expense and the job base on herself.

Meanwhile, Mr. Danial is a people-oriented person with great communication skills,

which will result in great teamwork, as well as giving a better result. In addition, he has the
potential at making decisions collectively since he is open to others’ opinions and suggestions.
Nevertheless, Mr. Danial has a flaw where he may not be able to integrate divisions when
needed which could affect the organization.

2. Which candidate would be the best choice for the new managerial? Discuss this in relation
to the best organizational behaviour approach.

In my opinion, Mr. Danial is the best candidate for the new managerial vacancy. This
is because he has the best organizational behaviour although he has a flaw. Based on Mr.
Danial’s behaviour, he has a system approach in him whereby he makes a decision based on
his collective information as well as listening and asking for other people's opinions and
suggestions. This shows that he has able to interact with the organization and function as a
whole. As for his drawback, he can learn and practice how to integrate division to overcome it.
Thus Mr. Danial is the most suitable choice for the new managerial compared to Miss Ainina.
