1M CaCl2: 1M MgCl2:
CaCl2x2H2O 147g MgCl2 x6H2O 20.3g
H2O to 1 liter H2O to 100ml
100X Denhardt Solution: 1M MgSO4:
Ficoll 400 10g MgSO4 x7H2O 24.6g
Polyvinylpyrrolidone 10g H2O to 100ml
Bovine serum albumin 10g 5M NaCl:
H2O to 500ml NaCl 292g
Filter sterilize and store at -20°C in 25ml aliquots H2O to 1 liter
1M Dithiothreitol (DTT): 10M NaOH:
DTT 15.45g NaOH 400g
H2O to100ml H2O to 1 liter
Store at -20°C
1M Tris-HCl [tris(hydroxymethyl)aminomethane]:
0.5M EDTA (ethylenediamine tetraacetic acid) Tris base 121g
(pH 8.0): H2O to 800ml
Na2EDTAx2H2O 186.1g Adjust to desired pH with concentrated HCl.
H2O to 700ml Mix and add H2O to 1 liter
Adjust pH to 8.0 with 10M NaOH (~50ml)
H2O to 1 liter 3M Sodium Acetate (pH 5.2 and 7.0):
Sodium acetate. 3H2O 408.1g
10mg/ml Ethidium Bromide: H2O to 800ml
Ethidium bromide 0.2g Adjust the pH to 5.2 with glacial acetic acid
H2O to 20ml or
Mix well and store at 4°C in dark. adjust the pH to 7.0 with dilute acetic acid.
CAUTION: Ethidium bromide is a mutagen and must
