Transfer of Learning

Answer as directed.

1. In your own words, explain how transfer of learning occurs.

Transfer of learning occurs when the students or pupils are motivated to learn the topic
being taught. They already have the knowledge about the subject, and are capable of
connecting those information they’ve learned to new existing information. Thus, the prior
knowledge of pupils are beneficial to apply and learn new things. I have also learned, that there
are different types of transfer, which affect the learning progress of students/pupils. First is
positive transfer, which means that the context being learned is also applicable to other context.
2nd is negative transfer, which focus on confusing ideas. Then, near and far transfer were also
introduced.

2. Cite a specific learning activity/strategy on how you will apply the given principle of transfer.
