A. Vision

The UCU Intramurals as an opportunity to all students, varsity or not, to represent their college, take part in playing the
sport or any recreational activity that they are interested in without fear of rejection, enjoy equal chances in exploring
new skills, and to lessen the stress of being a college student.

B. Mission

The UCU Intramurals shall kindle the spirit of true sportsmanship and camaraderie of each student, showcase their abilities
learned from Physical Education class, improve leadership and organizational skills, develop self-confidence, social
relations, and most importantly, allow the students to have a break and have fun.

C. Objectives
• Have fun!
• Provide accessible activities for both beginners and advanced students.
• Provide sport and recreational opportunities for all students.
• Opportunity for athletic student organization/club members to organize, promote and run an intramural
program.
• Give students a chance to explore new skills or develop their skills further.
• Promote leadership and responsibility.
• Promote team spirit and school pride.
• Ensure equal opportunity, fair play, and safe participation.
• Prevent student boredom.
• Lastly, enjoy this program rather than feeling pressured to compete and win.

E. Roles and Responsibilities

• University President/Vice President of Academic Affairs:

- Provide approval, funding, and disciplinary support.

• Head Coordinator (usually the head of Department of Physical Education):

- Head Supervisor.
- Collaborates with the officiating officials and committees in different events.
- Involved in the organization of budget, teams, scheduling, scoring, equipment, awards, supervision,
officials, scorekeepers, and announcements.
- Enforces rules and regulations and deals with any conflict.

• Supervisors:
- One representative from the chosen Athletic Student Organization/Club will be assigned to each
participating team.
- Responsible for recording score, player fouls and penalties, laying out equipment and directing each
team to the appropriate area.
- Helps head coordinator with their duties.
- Reports to head coordinator with results.

• Officiating Officials and Referees (Chosen Athletic Student Organization/Club Members):

- Maintain a proper and safe environment for each event.
- Implements game rules and regulations respectively.

• University Clinic/ROTC Medics:

- On standby in the case of an injury or accident during the entire duration of the school event.

• Students/Participants:
- Follow rules and regulations correspondingly
- Be respectful of teammates, opponents, officiating officials, committees, head coordinator, and
spectators.
- Play safe and have fun.
