Bagian surat resmi yang ditandai oleh No. 1-3 diidentifikasikan sebagai berikut:

 No. 1 – Bagian Salam Pembuka (Salutation)


 No. 2 – Isi Surat (Body Text)
 No. 3 - Tanda Tangan (Signature/Sign-off)

 Nomor 1 adalah opening letter bagian salam (greeting).


 Nomor 2 adalah opening letter bagian perkenalan (introduction).
 Nomor 3 adalah closing letter.

Pembahasan
Jenis surat tersebut tergolong sebuah Surat Resmi. Surat Resmi adalah sebuah surat yang
ditulis oleh sebuah perusahaan atau organisasi yang digunakan untuk keperluan korespondensi
internal maupun eksternal. Surat Resmi dalam bahasa Inggris pada umumnya menggunakan
bahasa formal/resmi dalam bentuk Simple Present Tense. Adapun Surat Resmi ini perlu diarsip
oleh perusahaan untuk jangka waktu yang lama yang akan sewaktu-waktu dapat digunakan
sebagai dokumen bukti apabila diperlukan.

There are 3 (three) errors in the letter above. They are:

1. Mistake 1: shortened words

- "u" instead of "you" (Thank u for your letter...)

- "n" instead of "and" (We hope you will find our prices n terms satisfactory.)

In formal letter we should not shorten common words.

2. Mistake 2: july (should be July)


Use capital letters in words that indicate the name of the month.
3. Mistake 3: the question mark (?) after the word payment
Declarative sentence ends with a punctuation mark. For example "?" in "...and terms of
payment?".
It is a positive sentence, not a question so question mark is not needed.

I’m Jonathan, I ordered two cans of cookies from your online shop on May 10 and paid
them at the same day.
I learned that your shop is quite well-known and has a high rating.
But when the cookies finally arrived this morning, I was very disappointed to see that
they are actually have been expired. The expiry date is clearly printed on each lid of the cans:
February-2022
I don't understand how a reputable shop like yours could send customers expired
products. I don't think you did it intentionally, but I am quite disappointed about this
carelessness.
I demand a replacement of these cookies immediately. If you cannot send me the
replacements, please refund of the money have paid,
I hope I will receive your reply as soon as possible.
