VDA Search Vehicle Function v2
The Search Vehicle function is used to locate a specific vehicle and its corresponding vehicle information. Such as:
• Owner Information
• Warranty Start Date
• Truck Assembly Date
• Plant Information
• Warranty Coverage Information
• Service Offers
• Campaign and Recall Information
• Vehicle Specification Information
This vehicle search procedure applies to all VDA+ screens where a vehicle must be identified before continuing.
Select General Information from the main menu to display the search screen.
Enter search criteria in the top portion (VIN used in this example) and select Search to execute. The results will
default to the General Data fields below the search area. Some fields may be editable based on your access. Select
Save to retain any changes made on this layer.
Note:
• Reg. No. results will show multiple VINs, select the appropriate VIN
• Unit Number is Fleet specific, so search results will show multiple VINs, select the appropriate VIN
• Volvo - Enter “NR” (serial numbers starting with 2) or N (all other serial numbers) in Chassis Series to use this search
• Mack – Enter “M” in the Chassis Series to use this search
• A registration number may be shared by two or more vehicles. In these cases, the search returns a message stating additional
data must be entered to identify the correct vehicle.
Best results are returned when the full 17-digit VIN is searched.
Select the Miscellaneous tab to display additional information pertaining to your search. Some fields may be editable
based on your access. Select Save to retain any changes made on this layer.
Select the Plant Information field to display additional information pertaining to your search. Some fields may be
editable based on your access. Select Save to retain any changes made on this layer.
Select the Sales Information field to display additional information pertaining to your search. Some fields may be
editable based on your access. Select Save to retain any changes made on this layer.
