Product Concerned
New electronic platform L60 and L70 Cooling products (models with main module on
the back of the product and interface module on the dashboard or on the door).
I.E.:BAN3, TAN3, MBL, MTP, MBP, MTL, MBT.

1. AUTOTEST:

Autotest can be started up in different ways:

1. Led Interface (Fig.1):
- Turn the freezer and fridge knob until
reached the minimum position (off)
SUPER
- Push t he Super Freezer but t on for FREEZER
about 5 seconds

- Turn the freezer and fridge knob until
reached the minimum position (off) SUPER
- Push the Super Freezer button for FREEZER
about 5 seconds

3. Touch display interface (Fig.3):
- Switch off the product through the
ON/ OFF key
- Push at the same time for 6 seconds
the Super Cool, Super Freezer and Ice
Party buttons
- The activation of autotest procedure is
showed by the red Ever Fresh led on
for 2 seconds if it is present and then
all the leds for 5 seconds ( Ever Fresh
Blue)

4. Mid Interface with Led bars and
buttons (Fig.4):
- Put the product in off through the
ON/ OFF button
- Push at the same time the Ice Party,
Super Cool and Super Freezer buttons
for about 6 seconds
- The activation of autotest procedure is
showed by a beep and by all leds on
for 5 seconds

2. FAULT:

The Fault type could be visualized in different ways:

1 . In case of Led Interface (see Fig.5 and Fig.6) through led ( see TAB1)

Fault table:

FAULT CAUSE CORRECTIVE ACTIONS


F01 Compressor relay - Check eventual water leakage interesting connector J1 and causing a short
sticking circuit;
- Check motor terminal box (a wrong connection may cause a short circuit);
- Replace the motor;
- Replace the board
F02 Compressor relay open - Check the efficiency of the contacts on the connector J1 on the board;
- Verify that on wiring connector J1, between pin 3 and 2, the value of resistance
is coherent with the one in the relative table; -
Verify if the compressor is in thermal pause (thermal-protector open);
- Replace the motor;
- Replace the board
F03 Faulty power PCB - Replace the board
F04 Freezer fan unit does -Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J6 on the board;
not run - Check ohm-continuity on wiring connector J6, between pin 2 and 1, verifying
that its ohm value is coherent with the one in the relative table;
-Check the correct connection of the freezer fan to the connection box in the
freezer compartment;
- Replace freezer motor-fan;
-Replace the board.
F05 Electronic Damper does - Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J3 on the board;
not open/close - Check the efficiency of the connection of electronic damper to the foamed
connector placed behind the multiflow;
- Replace electronic damper;
- Replace the board.

F06 Triac driving defrost - Check the efficiency of the contacts on J6 connector on the board;
heating element short- - Check the ohm-continuity on the wiring connector J6 between pin 3 and 4;
circuit - Check defrosting heater connections and eventual short-circuits on the
connection box in the freezer compartment;
- Replace the heater;
- Replace the board.
F07 No power draw of - Check the efficiency of the contact on J6 connector on the board;
defrost heating element - Check ohm-continuity of the defrosting heater on wiring connector J6, between
pin 3 and 4,verifying that the ohm value displayed is coherent with the one in the
relative table;
-Check the correct connection of the defrosting heater and the drip tray on the
connection box of the freezer compartment;
- Check the correct ohm-value of the defrosting heater on the ends of it;
- Verify that thermal fuses do not open;
- Replace the defrosting heater;
- Replace the board.

F08 Incorrect switching of - Check efficiency of contacts on PCB connector J8;


solenoid valve - Check impedance on pins 1 and 2 of connectors J8 and ensure that the value is
compatible with the value given in the relevant table;
- Check correct switching of the solenoid valve. With the compressor running, check
that the solenoid valve switches when the refrigerator compartment is set to OFF;
- Replace solenoid valve;
- Replace PCB.
F09 File setup error (EEPROM - In the case of an original production PCB, replace PCB and EEPROM;
not programmed or faulty) - In the case of replacement PCB and EEPROM, check correct insertion of EEPROM
in PCB socket.
F10 NO-FROST Models: NO-FROST models: DAMPER ON/OFF fault
DAMPER ON/OFF fault - Check efficiency of contacts of connector J7 on PCB;
-Check efficiency of the damper connection to the connector inside the air duct in the
variable temperature refrigerator compartment;
- Replace ON/OFF damper;
- Replace PCB
STATIC Models with CCZ: CCZ STATIC models with SECONDARY SOLENOID VALVE fault
SECONDARY SOLENOID - Check efficiency of contacts of PCB connector J5;
VALVE Fault - Check impedance on pins 1 and 2 of connector J5, ensuring that the value is
compatible with the value given in the relevant table;
- Check correct switching of the solenoid valve. With the compressor running, check
that the solenoid valve switches when the variable temperature compartment is set to
OFF;
- Replace solenoid valve;
- Replace PCB

F11 Motor fan triac in short -Check efficiency of contacts on PCB connector J6;
circuito (Combi NF models) - Check continuity on pins 1 and 2 of connector J6,
- Check connections fridge fan in the fridge;
- Replace fridge fan;
- Replace PCB

F12 No communication between In LED interface board:


display PCB and control - Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J13 on the board;
PCB - Check ohm-continuity on the wiring connector J13 / 5-pin and 7-pin connector of the board
with LED interface;
- Replace the main board;
- Replace the display board.
PCB on appliances with CCZ and/or Ever Fresh System:
- Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J13 on the board;
- Check ohm-continuity on the wiring connector J13 / 4-pin connector of the display board;
- Replace the main board;
- Replace the display board.
Touch Interface PCB:
- Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J13 on the board;
- Check continuity of connector J13/interface PCB 4-way connector;
- Check ohm-continuity of J13 / connector inside cabinet control panel;
- Check continuity of connector inside cabinet control panel / interface PCB 4-way connector;
- Replace the main board;
- Replace the display board

F13 Fridge Fan does not run (Combi - Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J6 on the board;
NF) -Check ohm-continuity of fridge fan on pins 1 and 2 of connector J6, ensuring
that the value is compatible with the value given in the relevant table;
- Check correct connection of fridge fan;
- Check correct ohm-value of fridge fan;
- Replace fridge fan;
- Replace PCB.
F14 Faulty power PCB - Renew PCB.
F15 Heater multiflow triac in short - Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J2 on the board;
circuit -Check ohm-continuity on the cable connector on pin 1 and 3 of connector J2 pin
3 e 1 ensuring that the value is compatible with the value given in the relevant
table;
- Check the presence of short circuits on the Multiflow heater inside the fridge;
- Replace Multiflow heater;
- Replace main board.
F16 Freezer fan does not run (static - Check efficinecy of contacts of PCB connector J2;
models) - Check impedance on pins 3 and 1 of connector J2, ensuring that the value is
Multiflow Heater doesn t start compatible with the value given in the relevant table;
(models NO-FROST) - Check correct connection of the fridge fan (Multiflow heater) in the fridge
compartment
- Renew fridge fun unit ( Multiflow heater);
- Renew main PCB.
F17 Vacuum pump unit does not run - Check efficiency of contacts of PCB connector J4;
(Ever fresh models) - Check impedance on pins 1 and 2 of connector J4, ensuring that the value is
AQUA CARE1 electrovalve compatible with the value given in the relevant table;
doesn t start (Aqua Care models) - Renew vacuum pump or Aqua Care1 electrovalve;
- Renew main PCB.
F18 Aqua Care2 electrovalve doesn t - Check the efficiency of contacts of connector J10 on the board;
start - Check the continuity of electrovalve on pins 3 and 4 of connectors J10,
ensuring that the value is compatible with the value given in the relevant table;
- Check the correct connection of AQUA CARE2 electrovalve;
- Check the correct ohm-value of AQUA CARE 2 electrovalve;
- Replace AQUA CARE 2 electrovalve;
- Replace PCB.
F20 Fridge lamp fails to switch on - Check efficiency of contacts of PCB connector J2;
- Check impedance on pins 4 and 6 of connector J2;
- Renew lamps;
- Renew main PCB.
F21 NTC ambient sensor UI - Replace the board.

F22 FRIDGE Air NTC sensor open / - Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J11 on the board;
short circuit - Check NTC sensor, verifying if the resistance value of the wiring connector
J11, between pin 3 and 4, is coherent with the one in the temperature-resistance
table (warm the sensor touching it, if possible, and check how the resistance
value changes);
- Replace the board.

F23 FRIDGE Evaporator NTC sensor open / - Check the efficiency of the contacts on connector J11 on the board;
short circuit - Check NTC, verifying if the resistance value of the wiring connector
J11, between pin 1 and 2, is coherent with the one in the temperature-
resistance table (warm the sensor touching it, if possible, and check
how the resistance value changes);
- Replace the board;
- Replace the product.
F24 FREEZER Air NTC sensor open / short -Check the efficiency of the contacts on J11 connector on the board;
circuit - Check NTC, verifying if the resistance value of the wiring connector
J11, between pin 5 and 6, is coherent with the one in the temperature-
resistance table (warm the sensor touching it, if possible, and check
how the resistance value changes);
- Replace the board.
F25 FREEZER Evaporator NTC sensor open / - Check the efficiency of the contacts on J11 connector on the board;
short circuit - Check NTC, verifying if the resistance value of the wiring connector
J11, between pin 1 and 2, is coherent with the one in the temperature-
resistance table (warm the sensor touching it, if possible, and check
how the resistance value changes);
- Replace the board.
F26 CCZ Air NTC sensor open / short circuit - Check efficiency of contacts of PCB connector J12;
- Check NTC sensor, ensuring that the impedance value read on pins 3
and 4 of connector J11 is compatible with the values in the
temperature-impedance correlation table (also heat the sensor by
holding it with your hand where possible and check the change in the
impedance value);
- Renew main PCB.
F28 Display PCB does not work - Renew display PCB

F40 ON/OFF button does not work - Renew touch display PCB
F41 I Care button does not work - Renew touch display PCB

F42 Holiday button does not work - Renew touch display PCB

3. FREEZER TEMPERATURE ALLARM:

A1= is activated when freezer temperature is higher than 2°C, or when it varies
from 6°C to 2°C for more than 4 hours.
Food in this case could be used.
A2= is activated when freezer temperature is higher than 8°C, or when the Allarm
A1 has being active for more than 5 days.
Food in this case has to be thrown away.

The type of allarm could be signed in different ways:
