I definitely agree with Dave Parnas’ quote: “As a rule, software systems do
not work well until they have been used, and have failed repeatedly, in real
applications.” This is often a specific issue for the production of safety-critical
computer program. For the most part, numerous uses and numerous failures are
required some time recently a product is considered reliable. Few can argue
against the need for quality control when developing program. Late delivery or
program defects can harm a brand’s reputation — leading to frustrated and lost
clients. In extraordinary cases, a bug or defect can degrade interconnected
frameworks or cause serious breakdowns.
Though testing costs money, companies can save millions per year in
development and support if they have a good testing technique and QA processes
in place. The sooner development teams receive test feedback, the sooner they
can address issues such as:
Architectural flaws
Poor design decisions
Invalid or incorrect functionality
Security vulnerabilities
Scalability issues
